Helps to Hold and Stabilize Small Objects for Soldering

The Pro'sKit 900-015 Helping Hands Soldering Aid is a tool designed to assist with soldering and other precision work. The tool consists of a weighted base with two flexible arms that can be positioned to hold and stabilize small objects during soldering or other delicate work. It is an excellent tool for anyone who regularly performs soldering or other precision work. Nice tool to have

It's amazing how much this tool came in handy when soldering a bunch of wires, my only complaint is that the alligator clips really dig into the insulation of the wires leaving marks behind. A little tape around the teeth may alleviate this issue...

Way better than the ones from Harbor Freight! Worth the extra $.

The clamps on this helping hand is a screw fixed clamp (as opposed to the pressed-on types from Harbor Freight which cost a few dollars less) and are therefore longer lasting and more secure than the pressed-on type. The base is a bit heavier I think too which means it's a bit more stable. I use these when painting fishing lures and wish now I would have bought this model from the start and not the crappy HF ones which are useless now.

I used this to hold my new Potentiometers while I un soldered the wiring off the old ones and soldered them onto the new pots. This thing was super helpful

Works well if a limited reach is fine. Price is good.

For the price and knowing it's relatively small, it does it job well. It doesn't have much of a reach, so hopefully if you're wiring, or doing something where you need the helping hands, you have a stable surface to put this on. If you're trying to solder something 3 feet off the ground, for example, you'll need to have something to put it on that's stable.
