A Great choice for my gutter re-installation

I needed a long drill to e-install my gutters after the installation of my new roof. These long bits enabled me to drill a clean hole from the outer edge of the gutter all the way to the back-side of the guttr for a secure installation of my gutter screws. Until I received the extra-long bits, I neeeded toreach in to ther back side of the gutter with a shorter drill bit causing some alignment issues - - - now, my gutter screws make a clean entry from front lip to back side for a secure installation Certainly these bit are a cost effective investment for this project.

I will be writing an update review in the future to test its true Durability. Shipping was quick. Tools came in a brown box with a plastic base holding all the individual bits. I used the flat head to release the carburetor jet from my lawnmower. I was really glad that the shaft was thin enough to reach the jet because it’s in a tight spot. It would’ve been great if they came up with a better holder for all those bits. Something that would protect them against a fall from say the top of a truck.

Hex shank was too thick for my applications

The bits overall were good, but I returned them because I needed to get into a race/channel much thinner than these hex-tool steel bits would allow. All 32 bits arrived and well machined/cast. The hard plastic storage case was nice, but it was tight to remove say a middle bit. I used needle-nose pliers to remove them. Getting them back into the case was no problem.

I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

I just finished a project where I had to drill 64 full depth holes-5 2x8s and 2 LVLs and ONLY NEEDED 1 BIT! When I knew I would be drilling this many holes, i figured that I better get a second set, drill bits are usually crap, but the 1/8th bit lasted the hole project. I even hit a few nails with no problem. I even needed to bend the bit a little to get past an obstruction and even that did not break the bit. AND the last hole drilled as quickly as the 1st. Even though I got impatient, and ran the drill at high speed for the second half of the project it did not break the bit. The bit didn't even smoke! It takes a lot to impress me, but these drills sure did it.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR (PART XVII∞)...

When it first arrives, you feel pretty chuffed about your purchase: it's a nice looking kit. But you quickly learn your error in judgement, and fall back on that YGWYPF adage. These things are brittle as ceramic, and at the same time, somehow as soft as if they were made of aluminium. Within a day, three tips shattered, and two rounded off to the point of uselessness with one use, driving a self-tapping screw through a doug fir 2x4. These aren't the droids you're looking for. Yes, you'll spend 3x as much getting a better set, but you'll likely only need to buy them *once*. These are suitable for simple homeowner repairs... ...for a very short time.

Work Well!

As a custom guitar builder, traditional installer drill bits, while long, have a short flute. This creates a problem - when drilling deep holes through hard wood, short flutes do not allow the cut wood material to cork screw it's way out. Thus friction builds up (and heat) at the head of the bit. In turn, the drill becomes less efficient and the hole takes longer to drill. Sometimes when pulling out the drill bit, smoke will come out of the hole as the wood is starting to burn. These bits, on the other hand, have long flutes allowing one to drill well into the wood quickly, minimizing heat and friction. I just started using them so not sure on the durability of them.

Excelentes y extra largas. Durabilidad muy buena y calidad excepcional.

The media could not be loaded. Esta puntas son Extra largas y muy buena calidad. El precio es elevado, pero son de esas herramientas que te salvaran el dia porque siempre hay tornillos que estan en orificio difíciles de alcanzar. Pues ya nunca mas...Con estas puntas no hay limite. La dureza es muy buena, no se desgastan rapidamente.

Compact packaging, strong, excellent variety of bits

I have a terrific small KMart heater where the fan blade had detached after I moved it. And the case was protected by tri-wing security screws, deeply recessed. I have tri-wing bits but none would fit the narrow recess holes and reach the screws. Did some research and settled on this set - and I'm glad I did. Had the heater fixed in a few minutes. This bit set is a keeper. I'm happy that they do not include a handle, as it is a standard shanked set. Rather that they save that cost. I have handles that fit - you may need to pick one up if you don't. PLEASE NOTE!: This is not to encourage people to fix mains appliances - I have the training/experience/expertise. I'm just saying that this is an excellent buy at a great price, compared to the field.

Amazing value!

My husband is a contractor and makes a lot of things in his shop for fun on the side. We were a little sceptical initially because of the price (in stores they would be much more costly) but thought we would give them a try. He said they were awesome to use, fit his drill easily and did everything he needed them to do.

Many different tips, but rusting too soon

Originally bought o disassemble an appliance closed with security screws. I have only ever used them 2-3 times, so I am disappointed that they are already covered in a fine rust even though they are stored in a dry basement in their original box. Works just find when needed, the problem is in appearance only. Would probably buy the same again even with the rusting. What I like - Very heavy, obviously made of a strong metal - Many obscure tips - Shafts are quite long - Firmly held in place by plastic holder What I dislike - Rusting prematurely
