I plugged in about 9 a/c units yesterday and used this stuff where you had high visibility on the Window sash. Normally I stuff high density foam between the two sashes to create a seal to keep bugs and noise out. But I used this stuff in selective situations. Inspecting one of my installs today I find that the tape has held in place quite well. Other reviews have described the texture, I can add that I did use the tear by hand method and while that worked, it left the torn areas somewhat scootchy, i.e. not a clean tear. Nature of the beast, I imagine, but I was to lazy to deal with scissors apparently. Actually I did use scissors as a result in one very highly visible application. Time will tell and I most likely will boost my rating up to five stars depending on the eventual results.

Great product for proper purposes

It works pretty good on windows but I think I like the two sided better. The windows that are out of the way it holds fine, but for putting plastic on the ones in the kitchen, not as good. I should have known it would be bumped more and water splashes, which it does still hold on remarkably well. Now I know the difference. Great product for proper place.

don't really stick to some surfaces

it works on plastic and metal surfaces but for wood with uneven paint surfaces it will come off, and with the draft blowing it, it comes off easy
