Best Rubiks Cube EVER!

This Cube is by far the best cube I have ever had. I do not know if it is the best on the market, But it is the best one I own. What makes it stand out is the fact that the stickers on it have held up very well. Unlike my other cubes, these stickers feel like they are real heavy duty and were actually made to stay on. Another thing that makes this cube the best is that it turns super nice. It came pre-oiled and ready to go. It came in a nice package and actually got here rather fast. Shipping is always terrible. But if I remember right, I got free shipping. So that was good. Another great thing about my vcube 5 is that it never locks up. ever ever. I have only had one cubie pop out so far. I do not know how it could have popped out because I could hardly get it back in! I ended up pushing and turning the cube to push it back in place. That piece has not came out again. Word to the wise, if a piece does fall out, Put it back in right away! when the piece on my cube came out, The whole layer basically fell in. so I am pretty sure that the cube cannot support itself with a cube missing. In other words each cube holds the other cubes in place. This cube is great for learning about concentration. There are 98 pieces on the exterior of the cube: 8 corners, 36 edges, and 54 centers (48 movable, 6 fixed) That is a lot of pieces to put back. however, I was able to solve it rather quickly. 10 Min or so and I had it done. But, Who knows. maybe it will be a real challenge for someone else. if you get stuck on it google big cubes and then you will find a website called big cubes that will be able to help you with solving the vcube 5. Most of the moves of the 3x3 and 4x4 can be used to solve this puzzle. I hope that if you are looking for a rubiks professor that you look for one of these instead.

Wonderful Cube

Not much to say but that this is how all puzzle cubes should be constructed. This V-Cube (like the others) is durable and it turns great right out of the box. The stickers won't peel off for quite some time and the mechanism requires very little tuning. Actually, I haven't needed to adjust or lube it at all; speed isn't really that important with larger cubes and I personally find it better to have some tension but either is easy to do with this cube. It may lock up on you if you try to go too fast but I'm quite sure you won't have cubie shrapnel when you pop a corner like some other brands. I have some other Rubiks, generics and Japanese knockoffs and V-Cubes beat them all in overall hardiness and mechanics. As far as cube puzzles in general are concerned, I couldn't recommend them more to parents with young children (mine's four and he's still working on the 2x2), anyone who enjoys puzzles or anyone looking to improve or maintain their memory. They are fantastic devices that force you to use logic and intuition to create order out of seeming chaos. One caveat for the 5x5: one should really learn to solve a 3X3 before tackling anything larger. I doubt I'd have been able to nail this one without learning the original but it is precisely because I did that I find large cubes so fascinating. Once you have mastered the basics and get a feel for how they work (practice!) you will be able to solve large cubes like this one mostly by sheer intuition and tweaking your hard-earned methods ever so slightly. That's why I love large cubes- I can proudly say that I conquered them without simply plugging in the appropriate algorithms but instead adapting old tricks on the fly because of a real understanding of the way they must behave. It's daunting at first but would you rather play a ridiculous video game instead and learn nothing? Please do your brain a favor and give it a go. V-Cubes are my recommendation for those who do.

Works very well, and smoothly.

Unfortunately it uses stickers instead of painted colors, like on their smaller cubes. It does come with extra stickers in case some are lost, but it feels obvious that they will be needed.

An absolute MUST for Speed cubers! Happy Happy Happy!

Hello fellow speedcubers!! If you're looking at this product, we'll assume you've already owned and learned the solution to the 3x3x3 original Rubik's Cube. If you've never owned a V-Cube of any kind, I would recommend this cube over any other brand I've purchased. I've purchased nearly every brand of cube imaginable, and watched 100's of review videos online from the best speedcubers in the world (Matt Valks and Felix Zemdogs) and other top cubers/creators in the industry. The cube is lightweight (but not too light) and turns very well. I've also never had a V-Cube "pop" when solving . . . they simply don't fall apart under pressure! I have the 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 versions of the V-Cube. I also have both the "Cubic" or Squared cubes as well as the "Pillowed" versions of all three cubes - I'd recommend the Cubic versions in all instances (the Pillowed/rounded cubes are all much heavier in each case, and simply don't turn as easily/smoothly as their counterpart Cubic versions). They're worth every penny! On a final note, this cube also comes with a second set of stickers that come on pre-aligned sheets that you simply lay over the cube and apply when needed (after removing old stickers and cleaning old sticker glue off, of course). Better than the Rubik's brand!

I decided to purchase the V Cube 5 after I purchased the Rubik's brand 4x4 cube, and found that cube very stiff and difficult to operate. I have large, relatively strong hands, and the Rubik's brand would give them a workout. After hearing from other review site that the V Cubes were easier to turn, I made my decision and picked this one up. I did not expect it to be as great as it really is. It is exceptionally easy to turn, feels sturdy enough that you don't think it's going to break, and even if it does break apart, as all cubes tend to do if you force them the wrong way, it came with a very helpful step-by-step diagram on how to reassemble the cube. I haven't had to use that diagram yet, but it's nice to know they provided it. Also, the seller, Vacuums Plus Inc., did an exceptional job of shipping this item. I ordered this on a Thursday afternoon, with two day shipping, and was surprised to receive it Friday morning. I've never had that happen before. Very nice. All in all, this is a great product, and I highly recommend it.

good, but only for a limited time

Purchased for son and this is his review: I first got this thinking it was a good quality speed cube. It was for about 1 or 2 weeks. Then one day I was playing with it, thinking I couldn't be luckier, when about 4 or 5 pieces just flew off. I knew how to put it back together but ever since it popped once, it now pops 2 or 3 times a day. If you drop it, all the centre caps fly off along with a couple of pieces. Not the best quality speed cube, but before it pops once, its darn good.

Für Anfänger und Kinder

Guter Würfel. 2 Sterne Abzug weil er sich verhackt und das Orange/Braun ist am Abend schwer von Rot zu unterscheiden bei Mangelhafter beleuchtung. Die Sticker sind sehr fest und ausdauernt. Das besondere ist die Schwarze Seite (Farblich) ansonsten...es ist ein Cube für Anfänger. Mit Speedcubing hat der VCube3 nichts zu tun.
