Works well
The instruction sheet is confusing. I watched on Utube and it became very easy to set up. Well made and well designed.

Simple, easy for low/medium level security
First, why are so many people having trouble setting this lock? There is a YouTube video for the folks who prefer "visual," ie. can't read. Yes, there are two minor errors in the written instructions: 1. In the blowup diagram at the top, "Fig. 1", "(H) Pin" is actually "Pin (F)" in Fig. 2 of the instructions. 2. In Fig 3 of the instructions, "Red Set Marks (C)" are actually black, as is "Guide Point (A)" Your welcome but figuring this out was not genius work. The pin itself may be steel but the lock body is "caca" metal; zinc or pot metal. No on would try to pick this since destroying it with a hammer is so much faster. I would advise against using this lock to protect an expensive hitch but to protect my rust old trailer ball, it is just fine; the only idiots who would try to steal that would probable use the wrong end of the hammer.

Plastic cover falls off. Have to tape it to stay.
I use this to lock up my $70 Hitch Hammer. The lock came with a rubber cover for the combination tumblers but it won't stay on on its own. I have to tape it to keep it on. Given where this lock is intended to live (getting splashed by rain, snow and sleet), it's a let down that it doesn't have a better means to stay clean. Otherwise the lock seems good.

You'll never have to look for the right key for your hitch lock again
Tired of all the keys on my chain and searching for the right key when securing my bike rack to the receiver I knew there had to be a better way... and this fit the bill perfectly! It was a snap to set the combination to the four digits I wanted and it takes less than a second to install it and slide the rubber cover over it while in use. Only a few seconds to open it as well. It's sturdy enough to hold a bike rack (or small trailer) in the receiver so that's all I expect. While I don't doubt someone who really wanted to break it could do so, it would be easier to cut the cable locking my bike to the rack. (But as rare as my bike is on the rack unattended, I'm not worried when I make a quick trip into the grocery store while parked in plain sight.) But most important to me is the convenience.

No more keys
My husband and I have been switching everything out to combo locks why because we don’t want 1000 keys on our key rings it is much easier to use a combo then to buy expensive brands that you have to re-key for everything to match not to mention losing a key combo is the way to go

Chrome is coming off but it'll do it's job for now
Chrome is already flaking off in my hands right out of the box so not sure how long it'll last before it's completely rusted but it'll do the job for now. Like someone else said the instructions don't match very well but it's simple enough to figure out.

Great security
I've used one of these locks for over 20 years and I love them. Finally had to get a second one since I got a variable height hitch. Only thing I don't care for is the bent end. I like the double barrel style of their key lock, but I hate keys. A two to three finger oval or a barrel end opposite the locking mechanism would make this unbeatable for me. I definitely recommend this lock.

"should keep an honest person honest"
I agree with other reviews. One wack with a hammer and it is all yours! Easy to set combo and easy to use. Like I said it will keep an honest person honest.

Held up quite well!
The photos shown are after 1.5 years of usage. This lock has been on my hitch at all times and even through Canadian winters where my area uses salt on the roads. I'm very impressed with how minimal the rust is on the lock. I never had an issue with unlocking and removing it from the hitch. Lock is easy to set and the black cover is nice for that added protection from the elements. I added a touch of rust proof spray in the locking mechanism occasionally just to be safe.

Works good, arrived on time
Works good, arrived on time. The only draw back was I had to lay down on the ground to activate the number sequence on the unit. Maybe it was because of the hitch on my vehicle. good quality, good price

Nice and easy
Honestly for a locking hitch pin, it's great. I no longer have to worry about carrying a key.

As described!
Took a bit to figure out how to work the combo to your own number but works well. Nice fit and have no complaints. Like not having to worry about more keys.

Played with it and set up my pswd so easy. unit feels solid and heavy
Just received it in couple of days. Played with it and set up my pswd so easy. unit feels solid and heavy. Sweet that it came with a pocket to cover the keylock.
