Works great

It’s a little bit of a pain to remove the battery cover to install this switch, but once you get past that, it’s easy to install on weapon and very easy to use.

No issues, but is it really needed?

No issues with the quality of the item, but I'm still trying to decide if I really needed this. The pressure pad does take some getting used to with the grip. I have found that the TLR-2 unit is fine the way it is without this switch.

And excellent addition to any firearm (mine just happens to be an M&P. The only reason why it's not a Five Star is because it does not use the retaining pin that is standard for the factory (original) back plate for the TRL-1 (2). The button is very pronounced without being uncomfortable.

Awesome.

The button forces you to hold the weapon a bit strange if you DON'T want the flashlight on. For instance, if you wanted to investigate that sound without letting anyone know you heard it. You're required to pull your middle finger almost completely off the handle resulting in, what feels like, very little grip on the weapon.

A Must Have

I have multiple full size M&Ps. Night sights, Apex DCAEK, stippling, the whole deal. TLR-1HL's are my weapon light of choice. Once I installed this, I immediately groaned because I realized I now have to get one for every pistol with a TLR-1. It's that good. If you think installing remotes like this is lame, just Google search for how SEALs run their Sig P228s with lights. Surprise! Remotes. Learn from their best practices, I'm pretty sure they shoot more than you do.

I'm running this with a TRL-2 and works perfectly. For those that carry an M&P for duty FYI this will fit the Safariland 6280 holster like a glove no need to modify the holster in anyway. It does take some time to get use to the grip but range sessions should remedy that.

This works like a dream.

I have been dealing with fire arms for at least 23 years now. Between the militray and my career in law enforcement. I have been a glock user for most of those years. My current post. I have been supplied with a S&W M&P .40 (not a big fan) I have put a tac light with a laser on it. This switch has made it using the light/laser very easy to use.
