Great receptacles

These GFI outlets are perfect for upgrading the cream ones in our house to white. The 2 pack is a great value and we ordered another set. My husband installed these easily without issues. They are tamper resistant and weather resistant. We installed these indoors in the kitchen and bathroom so I can’t attest to outdoor use.

Can not recommend

I'm no electrician, but I've changed outlets in the house many times. I've been working over an hour on this Chinese POS, and there are issues. The biggest issue appears to be that the screws to hold the conductors are too short for 12 ga. wire. Also, one of the screws is too close to the housing to accommodate the wire. I finally located several self-tapping screws and forced them into the holes. That sort of works for one side, but I'm not real confidant that I want to do that on the other side. I'm probably going to rip the whole thing out again and find some that work. These don't. I know the description says installation in 10 minutes, and maybe that's true for18 ga. conductors or smaller. I'll never know.

Good GCFI circuit, LED always on. Install Tip

Build Quality The GCFI is well built with no defects. The circuit tests and resets well. Weight and tamper resistant "doors" work well (stiff) Great for outdoor use. The green "OK" LED is always on, is great feature for a WR outdoor outlet. I'm never quite sure if a breaker or the GCFI tripped the outlet, this takes the guesswork out... Red = Tripped on outlet, No light(red or green) = tripped at breaker. Install Tip. If you are a DIY'er then you need to know you do not install like regular outlets-- You can not backstab or side wire (sheppard hook around the screw) these terminals. Instead you must insert the stripped wire into the hole in the back and tighten with the adjacent screw ("Backwire.") If you try to mount using the side screw, and back the screw out too much you will damage the outlet and it will be impossible to use. In addition you will need to pay attention to which terminals are "load" (downstream outlets) or "line" (from the breaker). To do this it is best to wire up the line only (with a single black an white wire) first and make sure everything works then but the other wires on the load terminal. Final thoughts This is a good GCFI and I recommend it.

Look & work perfectly

They were easy to install in our kitchen and they work perfectly as well. Some outlets are difficult to get plugs into and these are not. These work perfectly and haven’t given us any trouble!

Nice looking GFCI receptacle that was easy to install

This GFCI receptacle was pretty easy to install. The only real hang up I had was minor. The retaining screws and backer nuts inside the outlet floated very easily. This meant that if I typed the outlet too much to one side they would slide back up against the body of the outlet. This made it slightly tricky to get my copper wire loops around the back of the screws on the sides of the outlet. It wasn’t terrible, but could’ve been an easier ordeal. The test/reset function seems to work smoothly and the outlet itself doesn’t take up any more room than the previous ivory outlet it replaced. I like that it’s a 20 amp outlet for use with a hairdryer in my bathroom.

Looks like a GFCI

Green light glows when set, but I only saw the red one flash when I pressed the reset. Light is out when outlet is tripped. Box says both UL and Intertec listed, but the outlet itself has only the Intertec logo. Test and reset work as they should but are oddly quite loud. Well priced.
