Great refill

Love it. I’ve been looking local for blue ink and couldn’t find one until now. Love Rite in the Rain products.

Rites great. Somewhat purplish or darkish red.

Compared to e.g. my Jetstream 3, which has a bright pure red refill, the color of this one is somewhat darker and muted. Not bad at all. Probably this red color is more legible, which, after all, is the name of the game for Rite in the Rain. And it writes without any issues at all, leaving a rich, clear line.

The only pen I use at work

I keep buying these refills because the pen from this company is the only one I will use at work. I had an issue with a refill once not writing as expected. The company immediately sent me a replacement and made the situation right. Every other refill I’ve had works great.

Meh.....

Originally, I gave a one star review due to lenghty shipping issues. The ink did arrive after 10 days post ordering on Amazon. Did not get my worth from the original ink cartridge, made by same company...hence the review. I pray this refill lasts a little longer. This is the only refill I can find online for my favorite pen. The original ink cartridge lasted 2 weeks....Description stated that is was long lasting projected 2-3 months. For clarity, I am not writting chapters for a novel everyday.

Bought as a present

It’s very expensive just for one cartridge (same goes for pen and pad) but they do genuinely work. It was bought as a novelty gift for a friend of mine and they loved it. Real shame about the price though. I guess you’ve got to live (or holiday, and I recommend you do) in the states to get the best prices.

Survey pen

This works, and even in the harshest environment - ships! Diesel, hydraulic oil, salt water - this pen writes through anything, although the ink smudges a bit...

Two faulty refills

I've bought 2 refills recently. The first smudges like crazy and the most recent one i bought, which i've been using for about 2 weeks, randomly stops working. The original pen i bought was writing perfectly for 8 years so I guess they've changed something. I want a replacement but can't find contact details for the company anywhere. Should have bought a pack of throw away pens instead :)

Inconsistent Ink Flow

Thought I would try these refills instead of Fisher Space Pen Refills but find they are just as inconsistent with ink. When the ink is there they work great but more often than not I find that no ink gets to the ball. I know they are manufactured by Fisher but had hopes they would be a bit better, no luck with that. The whole point of the the pressurized ball is that you are supposed to get consistent ink right to the end (which is why they are supposed to write upside down, under water, etc) but lately the quality seems to have gone downhill.
