Our favorite puzzle to date

Puzzle season at our house is like Black Friday…it just keeps starting earlier and earlier every year. As a result, we have done our fair share of puzzles and this one has been our family’s favorite so far which is saying something. It was fun, has beautiful colors, a difficulty level appropriate for the whole family that kept it from being boring but not discouraging, and I think it will take a long time to dethrone this one as our favorite.

Cute puzzle, not very challenging

In terms of quality this puzzle was great. In terms of difficulty, it was easier than most puzzles. Overall, I would recommend this puzzle for families looking for an easier puzzle that even younger kids can help solve (even my 4.5 year old was able to help some and he loved the picture!)

Ravensburger's are My Favorite Puzzles, but...

Ravensburger's are great puzzles, but this one came with a ripped piece and several that were splitting apart. I'm guessing this is a one off, but kind of a bummer because it's a really fun puzzle!

Ravensburger Puzzle - Artist: Dean MacAdam

I loved this puzzle soo much that I bought all four from the artwork of Dean MacAdam. The colors are vibrant and fun. The artwork and designs are cute and silly. Ravensburger has a “click technology” that ensures the pieces fit great and they aren’t so similar that you’re putting them in the wrong places like you would with other puzzle companies. It’s most definitely excellent quality! I highly recommend other puzzles from this same artist! “Goldilocks gets caught” is his newest release “Lions, tigers and bears, Oh my” “Most everyone is Mad”

The Brothers Grimm

Because this is a Ravensburger I do not need to comment about the quality, which was excellent. The image of a grinning Hansel and Gretel surrounded by demented forest animals was why I purchased this puzzle. 5 stars for image, and at times very tricky. My difficulties were with the wolf, the crows overhead and the roof of the gingerbread house, as well as the surrounding woodland which encircles the entire painting. But then, I don’t like a puzzle that is too easy, so there you go. I have purchased a few other puzzles Ravensburger has put out using the same artist. He is very talented and, you can spend a lot of time getting lost in the little details, at least I did. Highly recommend.

Size not accurate

We have a couple of other ravensburger puzzle sets in a frame and thought this one would fit accurately. It’s actually 27.5 long, so a half an inch longer than advertised, so it would not fit in the frame that I have ordered for this puzzle. You can see in the picture on the left side, that it’s sticking out. I measured the board and it’s exactly 27 in as it should be, but the completed bottom of the puzzle is 27.5 inches. We always like to finish the border first before working on the inside.

Fun to build

I really enjoy the artwork of Dean MacAdam. It has an eerie, Tim Burton-like feel to it. I can't understand how someone thought it was "over-the-top creepy". You can clearly see the image before purchasing? If you're looking for a fun puzzle with lots of vibrant colors and hidden gems, this is it!

Missing piece

Great puzzle but one piece missing. I buy Ravensburger puzzles a lot; love them for their intricacy but get so frustrated when I cannot complete. I can see from other reviews that this is not uncommon.
