Super fine looks but super messy

Looks great, but has one minor design glitch

This is my second Alessi Lily Incense holder. The first one for some reason got clogged up and I couldn't put sticks into the holder. I tried making the hole bigger, and it then wouldn't hold anything but the chunkiest stick. So I'm going to be careful with this one. Overall it is an exceptional design and is very practical for preventing the ash going everywhere, so I would certainly recommend this item.

Not as solid as I first thought.

Looking at the images online this looked like quite a solid design. However I found the item to be much lighter than expected. The metal is quite thin and the base is also very light so its less of a surprise when you have it in your hands. Without a much heavier base it would topple if the metal was thicker. Also I found the connection between the base and the top (to use a Scottish word, shoogly). I was surprised how wobbly it was. I returned it as I didnt think it was worth the money. It may look nice from a distance but it really should be much sturdier, especially when considering it holds a lit object.

I love this but wasn’t prepared to pay the original price £43. Was really pleased to get a offer which meant I got it for £28. Usual excellent delivery meant I was using it that evening. The shape of this seems to disperse the aroma around the room so much better than other holders. Pleased with my purchase

Indulgent Elegance

Another design hit from Alessi. Functional and practical. Holds tightly onto incense sticks and even unlit the stick makes it look like a stamen in a flower. Sits well on its base and the metal 'flower' fits tightly and well over the wooden base. It is easy to remove so that the ash can be discarded. I am so happy with it.
