Interesting, fun and ...interesting!

This is advertised as a "stress toy" and it certainly could be, but what fascinates me is the engineering and simplicity behind it. The directions recommend you don't twirl it with the stick between your palms but it's the only way I can get it to twirl hard enough. I suppose if you're gentle about it, it's ok. There's a trick to getting a bit of abrupt "stop" at the end of an abrupt twirl. I got a green one and it looks like a plant-ish thing, but I'd love if they made bigger ones, and in more decent colors than the garish neon Whatnots, but since this is for kids, maybe they enjoy that (black and white would be neat!) It IS very relaxing and you can't put it down once you get the hang of it. Showing it to people but not telling then what happens is like showing a kid a magic trick and all in all, it is! They just look like: O.o and ask what the heck just happened. Fun! I'd recommend buying them for anyone - it's a unique gift.

Cute/Interesting art-toy

Neat little toy, and the stand it comes with makes it easy to display. I think if the stick were a little longer it would be easier to spin properly, but I guess it wouldn't look good on the mount.

Excellent to Focus Energy & Mind.

Purchased as a Xmas gift for my 11-yo nephew, who is “a toucher” (also on the spectrum, with mild hyperactivity), and he just loves it. He was a big fan of his Aaron’s Thinking Putty before I bought this, and now he has another tool in his stable. He naturally reaches for this when he needs focus or to create a sense of ease/calm for himself. We never told him to use it that way, either; so this is his natural assimilation of the “lolli”. The item itself is well designed, weight and texture are pleasant to touch, and motion is smooth and satisfying.

Not as smooth or balanced as the product’s video shows

The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my son who is on the spectrum. He loves fidget toys and things that spin. I got this specifically because it was soothing and a great help with the motor skills. Turns out that it doesn’t spin like shown in the video. You need to use both hands to get it to do the actual trick of spreading or closing. Also the base is not good enough to keep it stable. Even if you hold the base and spin it with the other hand, you can’t achieve it. You have to use both hands regardless making the base unusable. I wouldn’t recommend.

Fun!

Being practical has never been my strong suit and buying this product ranks right up there! However, it's just plain fun to own. The whole family wants one now. I plan to keep it in my office at work. I bought the green one since customers commented on it being like a plant. It was hard making a color choice. I did think the price was a little too high, but glad I own it. Recommended.

Helicone! Had no idea this was the proper name until my 8 year nephew told me. He absolutely loves this. My nephew has autism and loves anything that spins. Needless to say this has him hooked!

Really cool Accessory/Toy

Really cool toy, easy to use and a conversation piece. I do however recommend the stand. I didn’t get one but I will next time.
