Best non-stick skillets ever- even the handle is easy to clean.

I have a smaller pan just like this that I got through the VINE program - It is the same brand and color and it has lasted me a long time now in HEAVY use. I've been known to use that one, wash it out, and use it for something else in the same meal. I was so happy to get this larger one. I used it today and it checks out to the same quality as my old well-loved pan. It easily held 3 hamburger steaks. These pans are so easy to wash- it only takes a second no matter what I've ever cooked in them! The handle is silicon and easy to wash- stuff slides off it too. The handle is very comfortable, and there is no hot spots in these pans. I've got one of those magnetic induction hot spots, and these pans won't work with those. I just use mine on my regular electric range. I was watching this pan for a while. I was tickled to see the price go down to 19.99. These are a great value. In these, often I cook eggs (the 8" makes a perfect 'waffle house' style & size omelet), hashbrowns, cornbeef hash, saute mushrooms, onions, and other veggies. I got this size for salmon and quick steaks and to brown cubed chicken. Best non-stick skillets EVER. No unhealthy fumes! Love them! I only use plastic and bamboo in mine and I've not had any problems with scratches or coating loss. I bought this one from Amazon, I'm not sure why my review is not showing that. :/ It might be because I got the smaller size free to review.

Just what I was looking for!

I love this pan! I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but I love the quality and the way it cooks and cleans. I make the hubs and I protein pancakes often and wanted a griddle. Thought about and looked at cast iron, as I love all my cast iron things, but really when it got down to it, I didn't have the storage space, and read lots of complaints on them not fitting over two burners. This pan isn't large so I do batches of 3 fairly large pancakes. My eggs have not slid off nor around as some others said. I believe that would be a defect, and a quick call to Amazon, and they would have you return it, and refund you...they are super fast and nice about fixing issues. I love how easy it cleans up..just a little soap and water. Some of the reviews also complain about the pan warping after a cleaning, and or the surface getting scraped from use. Well, NO do not take the pan hot from the stove and put in water to clean..let it cool whilst you eat, then you can wash it. I would never put any non stick anything in the dishwasher, as it will erode the coating..so I advise hand washing. It's a snap really. And ONLY use appropriate utensils for non stick...I have several eco friendly ones, and they work the best without harming surfaces. Of course a metal utensil will scratch it. Common sense I think. All in all, if you're looking for a "clean" without chemicals, non stick pan and are willing to do minimal care taking to preserve this little jewel, then get one. I'm going to order a couple more for gifts, and another for us!

Perfect omelet pan!

I just bought this for a friend who was looking for a good omelet pan. I bought one for myself 3 months ago and have used it daily since then, and I love it! The bottom that meets the gas flame has become stained from olive oil spilled over the edge (I still use a little oil or butter even though it's a nonstick), but I'm careful with the interior, never using metal spoons or metal spatulas, and it is still perfect. I use a little dish soap and a wet paper towel, wipe and rinse and it's ready to go again. The rivets sometimes take a little more attention since I like to crisp the cheese along the edge of omelets, but a quick scrape with my thumbnail does the trick to clean them. I don't cook tomatoes in it, or other acidic foods; I have an All-Clad stainless I use for those. I also still use an older nonstick (a Greenpan that no longer works as an omelet pan because it sticks a bit) for things like fresh blueberry pancakes. I may be underestimating the Ecolution's potential by limiting its use, but having a dependable omelet pan is a must for me. My Greenpan was treated the same way initially, but it started sticking after a couple of months, even after extra cleaning to address using oils. Unlike stainless pans, nonsticks don't last forever. My Calphalon nonstick was the longest lived before this one, lasting about two years, but I paid a lot more for it, and I like this one better.

After 3.5 years

After 3.5 years, mine is still doing a perfect job with daily eggs cooking! Really. I make eggs every day - Sunnyside up or scrambled and this pan continues to work so well for me! I also use this pan to make amazing cheeseburgers on the stove! Reread that! CHEESEBURGERS cook perfectly in THIS pan! I also want to say that 98% of the time I put mine in the dishwasher and STILL, no sticking issues! I decided to write this review because of all the Negatrons here, complaining about every aspect! True, the pan is not flat. You can see that in the pictures! Nor does it come with a lid - I bough a multi size lid and it works perfectly.

Pretty good, but...

The pan is a great size and allows 4 regular size bread slices or sandwiches to be heated perfectly. The nonstick surface is about average. After cooking twice, there was stuck on residue that came off pretty easy with a sponge. The central portion is about 20 degrees hotter and the side portions on an electric flat top range using an 8-inch heating circle. Like several people have mentioned, the pan does warp. As you can see in the picture, the oil I pour in pools around the side. You obviously don't need much oil or butter, but if you're using it for flavor you can expect it to run to the sides. The pain really isn't very heavy which some people may consider good. I wish it was a little heavier so that the heat would remain in the pan and be more similar to an iron skillet for heat retention. All in all it is a good pan and I recommend it for the price. Based on its appearance in construction, I would not recommend this be dishwashed and definitely not use anything except silicone or plastic utensils.

non-stick coating cracking and peeling

After only 3 months this non-stick coating on this pan is starting to fail. I have been super careful with this pan. Have used it on a regular basis, with silicone spatula, no overheating, always food in pan. With no fault of mine, there are now places in the pan where the coating is showing marks of the coating peeling off. Tried to find a q&a re replacement on this site, but couldn't find any contact info. If AMAZON sees this review, please tell me what my options are.
