Poor threads

Good size stainless steel eye but the threads cut on them are very shallow as compared to others I had. Typical cheap china threads. Needed these to secure a steel line to support outdoor lighting. I was afraid they would pull out under tension so I changed my plan to attach these to the house in a sheer direction rather than tension. So far they are working good and I was able to apply sufficient tension on the lines. When drilling a pilot hole, don't go larger than half the shank diameter or you will not get much thread engagement.

Exactly what I needed

I’m using these to hang reinforced tarps around my back porch, to keep snow out during the winter. They screw easily in softwood into a 1/8” pilot hole, take up little room, and each will probably support 40+ pounds, so eight of them will easily support a heavy tarp in strong winds. They appear well made, and should last for decades.

Know your size.

As expected, just make sure you know the dimensions, etc. They aren't as big as they appear in the pics, etc. but if you have a tape or ruler you can see what you are going to get. No complaints.

Make sure you read the specifications and size.

The eyebolts are good for what they are. They are made well and are very strong. My problem is that they look much larger than they really are. I would recommend that everyone READ the specifications and the size of the eyebolt. I was careless and I suffered as a result. I will still use them for other projects though. They are good to have on-hand.

Looking for thicker material

I was looking for a durable reusable netting for my fish pond similar to that I have in smaller size but this is not it. The net thread size is thin and similar to deer protection netting I have purchased for my garden shrubs. The thin thread material tends to snag on the pavement and many things more, but I suppose this is a beneficial feature for keeping critters and birds away. Will look for thicker netting and can still use this for deer protection on my trees and shrubs. Good for what it is.

Good design and quality

I have purchased these a couple of times. I use them to secure an oyster gardening cage in salt water 24X7. The eye bolt held up well so far, especially because it is installed in dock pilings in a salt water environment. They have performed as I expected.. No rust and holding the cages in place.
