Functional, but they lose their luster

I noticed that all the knitting markers are looking a more bronze or even silver color after knitting a project for a month. Pictured is an unused one vs the one on my project. Otherwise the functionality remains, I liked how many there were in the package.

These are the best marker rings I have gotten in a long time. I highly recommend him and anybody who wants to know what kind of markers to use these are it. They have no joint to get caught in the knitting and they glide perfectly ????
