SWITCH HARD TO USE

i like b&d well enough to have several tools. i bought this sander because i can swap batteries. it works well enough so far out of the box. a small problem is the on/off switch which is more difficult to use/push than others i tried at a store. i bought this one from amazon warehouse, and it came as described, very good. some other warehouse purchases have not. another concern is the uneven wear on the discs. the sanding seems to occur in a small orbit about 3/4" wide and about 1" from the outside edge. this uneven wear could be a big problem. we'll see how it goes.

Dust bag way too small

I love this sander but the dust bag is too small & difficult to get off. The fabric used for the bag is very flimsy.

For small projects

I have been pleased with the battery life from this line of batteries for my weed whacker and drill. I needed an orbital sander and a new battery. The price of this was not much more than what a new battery and charger would be. So, I bought this one. It is convenient not having a cord. But, the battery just doesn't last long enough on a charge to fit my purpose. Fortunately, I have more batteries in this line. If you have a small surface you are working on that doesn't need a lot of sanding at one time, I think it is a good buy. Or, if you need a new battery and charger for a different tool, this is a good choice.

Sander works Fine but the dust bag is coming apart. And charging the battery takes longer than any cordless tool I have ever had. Takes hours for a single charge.

Battery performance & dust collector canister

I bought this sander a few months ago before I move to my new location for my deck reno. I had 5 full-charge batteries, from my other black and decker devices but the battery won’t last long during each run. I would say each full battery will last about an hour or so. So for your big projects, this won't be efficient, and maybe the corded option is a better choice. The most important thing is that the dust collector canister was torn apart after the first run! Although we had removed it and clean the dust out of it, it was broken which is disappointing. Overall it is powerful and good for small sanding projects.

Todo muy bien pero

La verdad los materiales de construcción super bien, súper sencilla de usar y útil. La beteria es muy cómodo por la posibilidad de moverse, pero los downsides es que la batería dura muy poco, no sé si a con otra batería más potente soluciones el problema, pero promedio 15 min de uso continuo obtendrás. O si es que exista un adaptador tipo batería para conectar directo a la corriente ac, por qué no tienes esa función por default.

Great Sander-useless battery

bought two B+D sanders with 20V battery. I had a 35yr old, green B+D palm sander on its last legs and cordless was a great idea - B+D need to work on providing more powerful batteries for their tools as I didn't get 15 minutes out of each battery & I'm sanding an old adironc chair to restain. Means you can't work for long b4 the batteries die - took several days to get this chair sanded. Great tool. Not great battery power

Es una lijadora muy buena, no hace mucho ruido, el polvo que suelta es muy fino y la gran mayoría se va a la bolsita para ese propósito, es para lijas de 8 agujeros con 5” de diámetro. La batería dura bastante y es potente.

Poderosa, limpia y práctica!

Es poderoso y muy práctico para las tareas del hogar la batería no dura mas d 35 minutos, pero se puede comprar otra y listo, ayuda al acabado de la madera y no suelta polvo porque queda atrapado en la bolsa!
