[OOR STRAP DURABILITY

I BOUGHT 4. CUSTOMER CARE REPLACED 2 OF THEM ABOUT 2 MONTHS LATER DUE TO RACHETS GOT STUCK AND BECAME ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE. IN THE 4TH MONTH OF USAGE ONE STRAP BROKE INTO AND ATG THE 6 MONTH MARK ANOTHER IS INTO. I USE MINE TO STRAP LADDERS DOWN AND THE LEGS ALL HAVE SMOOTH EDGES SO THE STRAPS ARE NOT RUBBING AGAINST ANYTHING SHARP. THEY NEED TO BE MADE SO WE CAN REPLACE THE DAMAGED STAPS INSTEAD OF THROWING THEM AWAY.

Easy fix for the ratchet stiffness

I’ve had these straps on my work truck for just over 5 years now, and they have been wonderful. I came back and found them because I’m going to be buying another set for another work truck. I’m writing this review more to address issues other top reviews have pointed out. Mine became VERY stiff not long after getting them as others have mentioned. To the point of where I had to use a screw driver to pry the “release lever” up to get it to disengage a couple of times. This is a simple fix, and is likely to happen with any product exposed to weather 24/7/365. After a couple of times of having difficulties, I grabbed a can of liquid graphite lubricant (lock lube) which costs about a few dollars at any hardware/home improvement store. The single application has lasted years. Make sure to hit anywhere where there is friction. Apply it to the “release latch”, the ratchets gear teeth, and inside the “strap spool” where it meets the mount. Even years later, I can operate it easily, probably easily enough I could do it with a single finger. The strap unwinds with nearly 0 effort after lubricating it also. Another review mentioned the difficulty marking the mounting holes. I do remember noticing the same issue. I took a piece of paper and made a template with it (held it up to the back of the mount, marked the holes locations, taped it to my ladder rack and marked the locations from that quickly made template). These tie downs, along with these couple of simple “fixes” out preform what I would expect when compared to the prices of similar products.

Great for the money

The media could not be loaded. It did come with screws and bolts to connect everything together the screws or a little over an inch long maybe 2 inches I don’t really remember but I did have to cut them to make everything fit correctly on my ladder rack

Side pressure

Used this product because of the area that it was going to be mounted. In order for me to tighten my load, this was perfect. It's side reel worked just right. Had hoped that it would be able to hold more pressure. What it had was good.

Good strap

This ratchet strap works just like it should and can be mounted on your roof rack or truck trailer etc. It works pretty easily. I do wonder about the non-stainless steel items and how long they're going to last - it doesn't seem like a thick anti-corrosion coating

Great quality, mounted easy.

Initial thought is it is quite sturdy. Seems well built. I pulled the straps all the way out and back in. All works well and smooth. The mounting holes are a bit on the small side and a little tricky to get into, but I managed. But they bolted nicely.
