Works great, just wish it didn't need batteries

This wall mounted remote control works better than I had anticipated it would. My son lost the remote to his ceiling fan, and this is a great replacement especially because he can't lose this one as it is attached to the wall. The only issue I have with it is that it requires batteries. It seems ridiculous to have something require batteries when it is attached to the house power. Four stars because of the batteries, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Hard to fit in a normal electrical switch box

I have a 3.5" deep electrical box for the switch and the unit barely fit. Works well though. This switch does not come with a remote control.

It works well!

It's a little ugly. The buttons are a little funky.... but dang. It works well and that's okay. I wired mine into the wall light switch for my fan and it works really well. Yeah it's a little sensitive when you click the light or fan up / down but it still works. Better than paying an electrician $1000 to add a second 3 way wire.

Fourth Choice

My ceiling fan is old but works well. However one of my friends stabbed the wall switch with a dagger like index finger, breaking it…not the finger! The first wall switch did not work. Neither did the second nor the third. All were “universal”. The fourth switch worked with the installation of a new receiver. I have reviewed this switch in the past and hated it then and I hate it now. (The Hunter Fan customer service told me to purchase it.). The icon indicating the on/off light switch is not raised so, in the dark, there is no way to find the button. You just push here and there. I jerryrigged a solution so it’s not a problem but it’s obvious that the design is flawed. Since this was my fourth choice, you can see that I only bought this switch as a last ditch effort.

Works good except for one minor issue

Switch works as described. Installation was simple and straightforward. I did not give 5 stars for two small reasons which are that the switch requires two AAA batteries, which I was unaware of before purchasing. Additionally, the power button on the switch causes the lamp to flicker once before turning on. Not sure if this was an issue with installation but was able to work around this by leaving the power switch in the “on” position and turning the lights/fan on and off with their respective switch. I assume this must use the battery life faster but time will tell. Overall, this was a good purchase and works as described. Also, by the pictures provided I was unsure if the faceplate was built into the switch, but it is not. It comes with a faceplate that is detachable so it can be mounted in multiple gang switches.

Batteries operate transponder

Would have given it 5 Stars if the unit was able to be hard wire the transponder instead of having to install batteries for the transponder.

Great controller.

This thing is worth its weight in gold, almost. It was super simple to install and works with batteries or wired into your homes power. So nice to have a wall controller now. It’s was worth every penny.
