Seems like a Quality Iron

I accidentally left my curling Iron at my daughter's house in another state. I decided it better to just purchase another curling iron vs paying to ship my old one to me. I have fine and thinner hair so I knew I wanted a ceramic iron. This one is great so far. Have only used it a few times, but it seem to do a great job - I have had no problem with it holding the curl (but then I do use hairspray because if I didn't - nothing would keep a curl in my hair - I have board straight hair)! I would definitely buy this again - recommend this iron if you are looking for a ceramic iron that delivers a nice soft loose curl. I purchased the 1 1/4" size.

Who knew!

SO In the past I have bought: 1. The Beach waver 2. Harry Josh Pro tools 3. Dyson Air Wrap. 4. Airspun None of them could help my hair hold a curl or wave. I was about to get the CHI Airsetter, and decided first to watch a youtube tutorial, where the vlogger stated that the clamp did not work well.( Side note: The Harry Josh Pro tool clamp didnt hold either!) She then stated that the Hot tools had the best clamps. I got on amazon and saw this iron, and decided to give it a shot. Im happy to report for for the first time I have waves and curls that I have wanted, at a WAY lower price. Start with the Hot Tools guys, You have nothing to lose.

Not the best but works

Pro hairstylist opinion… got this for myself to use at home and it does then job ok but def need to keep heat below 400 and using heat protection you’re not burning your hair. See some comments about it not working- thin and fine haired ladies should be using a 1 inch barrel, anything bigger is not going to help you. I recommend Babyliss tourmaline- it’s what I use in the salon and works great.

Great for fine hair!

My hair is a little stubborn so not every curling wand works, but this one does the job well! The loose curls stay in place all day and look great. The wand is also easy to use. No more worrying about loosing hair due to clamps!

Buena pero ni me encantó para mi

A ver, este ferro es bueno y la marca es buenísima. Lo que no me encantó es el tamaño. Yo tengo pelo largo y lo compré pensando en eso. Pero lo que acaba pasando es que al ser tan largo el principio es muy grueso y la punta demasiado delgada, entonces a la hora de hacerte el chino queda nada marcado de arriba y muy marcado de abajo. Eso no me gustó pues prefiero un chino más uniforme. Pero para quien quiera ese efecto, es ideal

Coating chipped away in under three months

The costing on the iron chipped and has worn away considerably. This began around 1.5 months and has gotten considerably worse. I only use my iron once or twice a week and I do not use harsh styling products prior to using my iron. Disappointed considering the cost. Iron take a little longer to heat up but did create large voluminous curls. Best for long hair, my hair is over 24 inches long.

Hot Tools is a superior product.

This is my second Hot Tools curling iron in about 30 years. My first one still works, but does not have the ceramic coating, which makes your hair glide so smoothly through the iron. I had bought a Hot Shot Tools iron with the ceramic coating several years ago, which also still works, but it is not as smooth as the Hot Tools. This could be due to the iron being older, but I am very happy with my new Hot Tools purchase. The price was very competitive compared to the Hot Shot Tools price that I found online while searching for my new iron to replace one that was lost in our RV in a wildfire last summer. I actually decided to keep the new one at home and put the old one in our RV!

Great wand, especially for someone who really struggles with ...

Great wand, especially for someone who really struggles with curling my own hair (very fine, straight, does not curl well typically)! I had previously bought one of the traditional Hot Tools curling irons and was not successful in being able to do my hair nicely with it, but this wand works wonderfully. My only issue is with the glove - it seems cheap and the way it's designed made it difficult to wear while trying to do my hair; I ended up ditching it completely. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Great iron for the money

I love this curling iron. Using a tapered iron without a clamp creates much more natural curls than your regular barrel style iron. This iron came with a glove to prevent burning but I didn't really think it was necessary. I have used the Hot Tools brand previously (I have an iron still going strong after one year) and have no complaints. With heat styling you need to ensure your hair is protected prior to utilizing any tools but I did not notice any difference between these and my 'high end' salon purchased irons EDIT: Have owned this over two years and it has been absolutely awesome. Highly recommend
