Well Made
These are very well engineered and manufactured. All the holes lined up and the pieces fit together perfectly.

Sturdy plyo box
Sturdy, affordable plyo box! Took about 30min to assemble with screws and hex key (included). Dimensions are as described and quality is higher than expected for the price!

3/4" plywood, sturdy, my fingers hurt from the assembly
I acquired this plyobox through Amazon Vine. I was interested in the product because I've never owned a box and I was interested in owning one for various exercises, whether jumps, calf raises, another spot maybe for dips, Bulgarian split squats, etc. Main points: hard to build. Directions are lacking. Smaller than advertised. 3/4" plywood should hold up well. I think 20" is enough for okay jumps. Just be warned, when 20" high, the base is 14"x16". You probably want the 16" to be front to back so there's less chance of it tipping. Or better yet, put it against a wall as you jump on it. And now that I'm measuring the assembled box, I get 14-15/16" by 19-5/8" by 15-11/16" so not exactly as described. Assembly.. you're in for a treat. Do yourself a favor and use a drill with a hex bit. Turning all the screws by hand with the provided hex key... ouch. You also need a philips head, which is NOT included. I did it all by hand. You don't need a drill... it just makes the job easier I imagine. I did find a couple of holes not perfectly aligned. And be careful not overtighten... especially if you use a drill. I got some minor splitting. The directions for assembly are lacking. I felt like there was a definite "this is the right side and this is the left side" when I was assembling. Just the way things seemed to line up, whether the holes or even the sanded edges. But nothing is labeled. There's no indication as to whether you should tighten which screws first, or whether you should only tighten them so much before all the pieces are in place. And don't celebrate once you get the top on... you still have to tighten 12 more screws at that point. I didn't actually use the box just yet. It holds up to elevated pushup and it can support my 195 pound bodyweight. I can get it to wobble by rocking back and forth. We'll see how it goes.

commercial quality plyometric box
I am blown away by the quality and durability of this plyometrics box. This box is incredibly well-made with high-quality materials, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into its design. It feels incredibly sturdy and solid, which gives me the confidence to push myself to my limits during workouts. I've used other jump boxes in the past that wobble or feel unstable, but this one is rock solid and has never let me down. I also appreciate that this plyometric jump box is versatile and can be used for a range of exercises beyond just jumps. I've used it for step ups and even box squats. Despite heavy use over the past few months, this jump box still looks and feels as good as new and as a result I would definitely recommend it for anyone also building their dream home gym!

Perfect smaller size for weight training.
I already have a fairly large wooden plyo box for jumping, wanted something to use for weights that had a smaller footprint. This little box fits exactly what I need it for. Was pretty easy to assemble, had my 4 year old help me put the screws in and tighten them down. The instructions are helpful but I was able to just wing it and put it together fine. I would have liked a little texture or coating on the outside, my bigger plyo box has a nice outer non slip coating which really helps. Rounded edges is a nice touch though in case you do end up hitting it.

I felt like I was playing with Lincoln Logs putting it together
Now, the instructions for putting this together were not the best. But it was fairly easy to figure out. It's like putting together a puzzle. NOW... this thing requires a LOT of screws so save your hands and use an electric drill. Mine was only partially working so I had to manually screw those things in and my hand hurt by the end of it all. In total it took me maybe 20-30 minutes to put together on my own. I posted a picture of the box at it's tallest height next to a standard bench so you can see that it's a decent sized box. It has a nice bit of weight to it so it's not cheap feeling and it's sturdy. If you're looking for a nice plyo box to add to your home gym, I recommend this one.

Solid, good construction, helpful handles. Size matters... depending on how you plan to use it.
The media could not be loaded. Very solid, heavy, well-built box. I ordered the 12x14x16, which I think is the smallest box. I would only suggest doing box jumps on the widest, most stable side of this box. I wear an 8.5 shoe and weigh 175 and almost tipped it over doing a box jump. Step ups are fine on any side. FYI, in the video, I show jumping on it while it’s resting on a rubber pad to protect the floor + to provide a non-slip surface. Even with the near miss, it is still a SOLID box. The small box, that I ordered does not have the inner stability support shown in the pictures. I don’t think it needs them on this size, just an FYI. A few of the holes were very close to the edge and splintered (a little) when assembling. I had to use some sand paper to smooth them out. The directions are pretty basic, but the small box is straight forward to assemble… much easier if you have a drill and appropriate fitting to avoid having to do everything by hand with the small tool they provide, as there are a lot of screws. I can’t comment on how easy/hard the internal support piece is on the larger boxes because mine didn’t have this piece. The pictures shown make the box look much bigger – definitely consider the actual dimensions. The directions say it’s been sprayed with 2 coats of poly for protection… maybe, but it just feels like sanded wood to me. This isn’t a negative, I’m just saying it doesn’t feel like it’s been sprayed. Would be 5 stars if I didn’t almost tip it over when jumping on the taller side… even with that it’s a well built box.
