Great egg cup for keeping egg in shell or with egg removed from shell

I had broke my last egg cup and searched Amazon for a replacement. I found these and they work well. They can be cleaned in a dish washer, which is easy cleanup. The cup can be placed in a microwave to reheat an egg or to cook one.

Good, little odd though

Nice little egg cups though it's counterintuitive to have to turn them "upside down" to hold a single egg firmly. yes, you can mix stuff in the bigger opening, which is much bigger than one egg in its shell, but the rough unfinished glaze on the rim of the small opening suggests the correct way to orientate the cup on the table is with the small side down. Yet it's the side that fits an egg. Otherwise, fine. Second set, first set arrived broken, and this one had a chip out of one rim too but I didn't feel like returning it again.

Good value

Soft boiled eggs is our standard Sunday breakfast. Over the past couple of years we had broken several egg cups, and we were down to one. These were a good price, the neutral color went with our dishes, and were dishwasher safe. I just wish take the bowl was a bit deeper and could hold 2 eggs. One is great, but 2 makes it overflow when spoon is inserted for first bites.

Just What We Needed

If you are looking to have a family soft-boiled egg party, then these double egg cups are just what you need! They're sturdy, easy to clean and perfect for six people to enjoy one egg apiece, three people to enjoy two soft boiled eggs each or one person to looking for satisfy a craving to eat a half dozen eggs. Heat up some water, pop in your six eggs, reduce the heat to simmer and tell Alexa to set a six and a half minute timer! While you're waiting, fill up a bowl of ice water into which you can place your eggs once Alexa's timer sounds off. Soft. Boiled. Egg. Perfection!

Love the two sided design

Very happy with these. My 10 yr old son likes soft boiled eggs (I've trained him to like them because they're easy). I like the large side since I remove the shell for him. Here's my process- I use the small side to hold the egg once I remove it from the pan, while I take each egg and run under cold water. Then, I crack the top of the egg, chip off some shell, flip the egg cup to the large side and scoop the egg out of the shell and into the cup for him. The small side is a little shallow if you plan to use that side to eat it out of the shell.

These are the best!

I love these egg cups very much! When I had broken my first few from the last order I almost disappeared finding them again. The larger size cup is also useful for condiment surveying or salad dressing on the side. I love their functionality!

sturdy

I ordered the double egg cups thinking that the larger part would hold a 2nd egg and keep it warm while the first egg placed in the smaller end was being eaten, but the large end isn't large enough to fit over a large egg. Perhaps it would fit over a small egg.The cups are thick and substantial and work well otherwise.

Large End Should Hold 2 Soft Boiled Eggs But is Too Small

Traditional English double egg cups hold two soft boiled eggs in the larger end but these ore too small and therefore are useless. The other end is used to hold a single soft boiled egg in the shell with the top removed and that works fine. I strongly advise you not to buy these because the larger end is too small to hold two soft boiled eggs cut up which is the traditional way to use them. The maker obviously doesn't understand how double egg cups are used. Very dissatisfied.

Muy funcionales

Llegaron a tiempo y en muy buen estado. Vienen en su caja protegidos y a parte Amazon lo protege más. El tamaño no es inconveniente ya que puedes usar las copas de distintas maneras y se adecuan a los huevos.
