Left hand in right hand pacaged

I've used these supports before and doesn't really matter at this point and I didn't pay attention to the picture of the package until I received it, but these are left-handed supports in a right-handed package. apparently or Taiwan friends in quality control don't know right from left.

Worked only fairly well

Works fair. Stays open well. Doesn’t support fully when only raised an inch. Concerned about little fingers.this is the third brand I tried. It did work the best out of the three. NO installation instructions. It might work better if installed differently.

Good hinge for certain things

The hinge was a replacement for one that I put on my kids toy box that I built. The original got stuck and kids ruined it by forcing it down. I liked it because you could adjust it so the kids could open toy box and the top would not fall down and smash their fingers. It was a good hinge for that reason. It works and looks nice. But is not the finest or heaviest piece of hardware.

This unit is WAY to light for my application. If your building a small box it migh work fine. The Friction Assist is a joke.

Works but takes a lot of trials

If installed as per instructions the arching of the support will hit the lid before it closes, and the bracket will be backwards. Yikes.
