Pancakes on this griddle so far so good!

I have NOT used this long enough (once now for pancakes) to give it a fuller review! That said, I ONLY bought it to make pancakes (my cast iron griddle proved NOT great for pancakes - stuck, hard to get off - a little pile of a mess of DASHED hopes!!!) I cook eggs so on in a smaller cast iron skillet. I don't eat them often so assume this will be fine for a while A - I use Coconut oil (x a 4 star chef when I lived in NYC and I have a background in nutrition) Coconut oil can handle the highest temps (btw) and why Chinese cooks use it. (Note medium heat used for these pancakes) One can add butter for flavoring at the end. 1 - Smell from product blew off after a few minutes (usually coating?) but just put the fan on. 2 - Used moderate heat but turned up a tad and now realize that may NOT have been needed. (a tad to dark - they cooked FAST!!!) 3 - Used a non stick plastic spatula! 4 - Pancakes came out delish!

Worked great until...

I was really liking this until I used it to make grilled cheese sandwiches. I probably had it a little to hot and the butter burnt to the surface and doesn't want to clean up.

My first time ever using nonstick pans the Gotham pans were good. I don’t have to use no oil that’s what I love about it the most.

Good pan except the handle

I have the whole set of Gotham Pans and they’re great, but I was SO disappointed in the handle on this one. It looks cheap and it’s painful to hold. It’s a decent pan otherwise, but I find myself avoiding using it because of those edges that dig into my hand. I may get a different brand because of that. Having a pan you don’t want to use is a waste.

lasted 1 week then went downhill.

Worked and cleaned well for about a week then after I used Pam cooking spray on it to fry an egg, the surface became uncleanable. Everything stuck on it and was not even able to flip an egg as it stuck and broke apart. I may just try to return it but as we live very rural, it would take a long time to pack it up and drive to the Post Office. Not worth the effort.

I already had 3 other frying pans from Gotham Steel and like them enough to buy a square 11'' x 11'' pan. Just love them all!!

El peor comal para tortillas de maiz

Si lo que buscas es un comal para tortillas de maiz, amigo alejate de esto! De todas mis compras en Amazon esta ha sido la peor decepcion. Buscabamos un comal que fuera PFOA free, pero al agregar un poco de aceite para hacer tacos dorados el comal quedo inservible. Quedo negro y aunque lo laves no se le quita. Los primeros dos usos fueron para calentar pan y no hubo problema. No recomendaria este producto. Pedi varios comales y no venian protegidos entre ellos por lo que se rayaron un poco. El tiempo de entrega fue excelente.

Non-stick properties doesn't last long

Bought due to it being a well sized square pan, but after 6 months of occasional use only, we can't even cook an egg on it without it sticking horribly, and being very difficult to clean. Unfortunately it's outside of the returns policy of course. Wouldn't recommend.

Súper parrilla

Llevo cerca de 3 meses utilizándola casi diario y me parece una muy buena parrilla pues es ligera y no se le pega nada. La utilizo para hacer principalmente sandwiches, quesadillas y sincronizadas para el desayuno pero no dudo que me sea igual de útil para hacer otro tipo de manjares más sofisticados (jeje) porque NO SE LE PEGA NADA. Ojalá me dure mucho tiempo.
