I bought this grill to cover the lower screen section of our camper door so that my dogs won't accidentally run through it or knock it out. It looks like it will do this, however, there are some cosmetic things that I noticed about it now that I have it installed. Installation was simple. I held the grill in place, marked the 4 corners with a pencil, then predrilled the holes and screwed the grill to the door. Very simple. However, after securing the grill to the door I noticed that the heart shape in the middle of the grill was upside down. No problem, I removed it, flipped it around and then reattached it. This is when I noticed that not all of the grill was painted black. The inside of the track that the center of the grill slides on is not painted and is simply the color of raw aluminum. After noticing this, I got on the floor and looked at the inside of the other track, and it is painted black, so maybe this grill is designed to be attached with the heart upside down? Either that or QC wasn't up to snuff when mine ran through the line...? Besides this, the curved pieces in the center feel like plastic to me. I cannot confirm whether it is plastic or aluminum, but it isn't what I imagined it would be when I ordered it. However, I do feel like it will still do it's intended job. For $50 though, I would have liked it to be a little more substantial than what it is... And then there is the rattling... since the center section slides back and forth on the side rails, it rattles when opening and closing the door. And while 4 screws are included in the box to mount the grill, there is no other hardware to help with the rattling issue, however, on the instructions printed on the box it does state that you can buy a few more screws to secure the center slide which should reduce the rattle, and make the entire grill more sturdy. I will stop by a hardware store sometime and pick up 4 more screws and make this adjustment, but it would be nice if it already came with 4 more screws already though (again, considering this was $50 and 4 more screws would only be a couple of pennies...) Anyway, overall I am happy with the purchase. As I said above, it should do the job that we intended it to do, but it isn't all that I expected it to be, especially for the cost. I feel like $20 - $25 would be a more fair price. Edit to add some photos. The first is from outside and the second is with the door opened. Despite the cosmetic flaws I noted above I have been very happy with this item.
