Galapagos vs. Zoo Med Aspen Bedding

I needed some Aspen bedding for my snake and have been using Zoo Med but noticed Galapagos was about half the price. So I ordered a bag of each from Amazon. Both arrived in great shape. Bag: Galapagos is resealable which is handy Zoo Med bag is just torn open. Amount: Galapagos: 704 grams, which filled a gallon container 2.5 times. Zoo Med: 1086 grams which filled a gallon container 4 times. Dust: Galapagos: Lots of dust, I would say unhealthy levels of dust. Zoo Med: Significantly less than Galapagos, however, there was still a good bit of dust. If you don't need aspen bedding, I would recommend you use cypress mulch from the hardware store. 4 stars - Way too dusty for me

When I got my snake, I wanted to buy the best bedding. If you’re willing to shell out a couple more bucks per 8qt bag, it’s well worth your purchase.

Our milksnake loves it!

Our milksnake loves this bedding, he actually has become more active in his tank since we've started using this bedding. One bag filled the bottom of our approx. 50 gal tank about an inch deep. Product is absorbent enough for milksnake excrements. Will continue using this product ????.

Used this for years for my boy King he loves it he sleeps nice and warm and hide very well..

I uses this for my My Albino California Desert King Snake for years King just loves this bedding I tried others but this is the best one he liked it's soft very important to him King...

I bought this as an alternative to paper bedding for my rat's travel cage because of the numerous issues with paper bedding and mites/baking soda. You can definitely buy larger bags of aspen at feed stores or bigger pet stores but I live near neither and just needed enough for a couple of weeks. I have had no problems with it (it isn't particularly dusty or too fine), I just wish the bag was a little bigger for the price.

No se puede importar a Mexico!

Al llegar a la aduana me querian cobrar $1500 pesos que lo inspeccionen SEMARNAT!. Lo tuvieron que tirar en la basura para poder enviarme los demas productos que venian en la misma caja. Si no lo pueden vender a Mexico no lo deberian de vender en Amazon Mexico y anunciar que los impuestos ya estan pagados.
