Great Semi-Heavy Duty Snap Ring Pliers

I used these to remove a heavy duty snap ring from a New Holland LX665 Turbo Skid Steer axle assembly and while I was probably exceeding its capabilities a bit it managed to remove the snap ring and secure it quite well. It was a little troublesome to release the snap ring but that's to be expected from a heavy duty snap ring with that kind of tension on it. Snap ring pliers seem to be made well and it comes with plenty of tips to boot. The ratcheting mechanism works well especially dealing with heavy duty snap rings. Would I buy it again, sure its a good tool and should last a long time but don't expect it to remove snap rings from large equipment. This is what I'd call a Medium Duty Snap Ring Tool where you don't need a mechanical advantage to expand the snap ring! If you need a serious heavy duty snap ring tool, look at the CTA Tools 4031M Heavy Duty Snap Ring Tool ????
