It works well.

I can trim a thin slice or a thicker slice. No problems. It works well. I can slice what I need in seconds. I wash it under the faucet and dry it off. Not difficult at all. I use almost every day.

Sharp and functional

I wish I bought it earlier. It cuts cheese great but I use it to peel veggies, when I can't find the peeler. It's very sharp.

I want to love this!

I like the design, it's almost exactly what I wanted, the blade metal is a bit thinner than I had wanted makes it feel flimsy. I want to love it but I feel like I'm going to break it every time I use it.

This is the cheese plane that others want to be

Cheese planes are a thing for me. OK, maybe I have a problem, and I won't rationalize it. I have this thing for finding the perfect planes that slice cleanly, get the thickness right, make smooth and perfect slices... This one is really close, and the best thing I've found on Amazon, so far. It is definitely better than that Wusthof you have in your other tab as you consider cheese planes. I know, you doubt me -- you believe in them like I do, knowing they make nice stuff, but trust me on this: This inexpensive plane works much better. Gripes: it feels a little flimsy, to me. But I haven't broken it yet, so maybe it's just a "feelings" thing. Anyway, this is a great little plane, better than a whole lot of them that are more expensive.

I have bought several of the OXO range of kitchen items (knives, can opener, peeler, pizza wheel) and never been disappointed; all very good quality, withstanding the test of time. They may cost more than the ‘run of the mill’ brands, but are well worth the extra cost. This cheese slicer is a great addition, also of excellent quality, design etc. Highly recommend ????????
