Not 1/2" thick as advertised...

I ordered the 1/2" thick mat because I do a lot of yoga and I usually stack 3 of the mats from the gym that I measured prior to my order to 1/2". As you can see from my picture, this mat is only 5/16th" thick so I still have to grab one of the gym mats to put under my new mat. :( That is what I was trying to avoid. Also, on the first day I took it to the gym, the strap broke - which I also show in a photo. I know how to sew and therefore, I will mend the strap and hope it holds up. As far as the thickness...if I had it to do again, I would order a 1" thick mat since they are not as thick as advertised.

Perfect thickness!

This mat is exactly what I needed! I get “carpet burns” on my tailbone when doing any type of an work unless I have lots of cushion. The material is very durable and very easy to clean after a sweaty workout.

Good for Yoga, Bad for HIIT

I'll begin by saying I knew what I was getting into by buying a 1/2 inch thick mat. There's a few things you can and cannot do with this mat, and I'll outline them below: - You CAN do yoga, it's a good length, and the extra thickness helps cushion my joints from the hard floor. The surface is grippy even with socks on. - You CANNOT do HIIT or other rapid-movement exercises, the mat will slip around a bit and stretch out due to the foam material it's made of. - You CANNOT (or should not) wear sneakers while doing exercises on the mat; mine left small divots that don't go away, and since the shoes grip the surface, it would probably be more likely to tear the mat over time, especially if I'm doing HIIT. - You CAN clean the mat, however, I usually use a disinfectant spray or wipe to do so, and because this mat is quite porous, I'm not sure my wipes would do the job effectively. The description says to clean with soap and water, and I'm not overly inclined to drop it in the bathtub. Other notes, my mat came rolled up (as expected) and was sealed in plastic, so I knew it was clean and unused. Small thing, but it was nice to know I wasn't getting a re-packaged and re-sold product. It took some effort to get it flat, but flipping it over and setting it in the sun actually helps to flatten it out so you can use it almost right out of the box. The mat itself is a nice color, doesn't have any weird smells, and if I take care of it and do light-impact exercises only, it should last a while. I will say that the mat squeaks a little when doing exercises on hardwood floors, but on carpet it's fine. Overall, a nice product, just not optimal for the other higher-intensity exercises I wanted to use it for.

Comfort and ease of use, unroll and roll up.

I ordered the Yoga/Floor mat for my Body Pump exercise class. So far so Good. And the purple colour stands out over the same ole black mats provided at the gym.

Best Yoga mat ever!

The extra thick density of this mat is wonderful for stretching and core work outs. It is very comfortable on the body.

Excellent Comfortable Mat

This is the best mat I've ever used. I've always worked out on the 1/4" and due to back issues I never had real comfort with my workouts so some of my focus was on being uncomfortable. Now I only focus on the work out while I enjoy this fabulous mat. I will be ordering another soon.

Pretty and soft

Nice, thick, soft yoga mat. Pretty purple color. One star off for packaging. Opening the flimsy box with a fingernail was enough to slit the mat. Carrying straps are very thin, but do the job. End of mat inside the tight roll was permanently rippled (even after a day in the hot sun) - not a huge issue, but could have been avoided. Otherwise, I mat I will enjoy using.
