Useless for smart rats

I bought this bait station a month ago. The bait is untouched, rats are walking around it. They do not go in. Probably it is for a mice not for rats. :(

I have a hole in my brick work that a rat goes in and out of into my wall. I bought this to kill the rat. I set it on the ground next to the hole. The clear enclosure lets me see if the bait has been eaten - this is good. After a week no bait has been eaten - this is bad. "You can lead a rat to poison, but you can't make it eat." Additional thoughts - the poison is a neurotoxin with no antidote. If you have cats or dogs do not open the box indoors as there can be some bait dust on the trap and in the box. I have cats and was concerned that if the dust got on a surface and the cats walked across it and then licked their paws that they could be poisoned. I suggest wearing gloves and opening outside and rinsing the outside with water to remove the dust. It's poison - act accordingly.

you can see the bait as it’s consumed by the rodents thru window

works better than expected and the reason we bought this product was an exterminator came to our house to get rid of tree/roof rats and that’s what they put out. bottom line within three day three rats,now we just put them out as maintenance so we don’t gets more. we highly recommend this product
