Don't let first appearances foul you
The Cuisinart cast iron pan is the largest cast iron pan that will fit my counter top oven. Allows me to go from stove top into the oven easily and with the largest steaks or roasts. When I opened the box I was disappointed in the roughness of the cooking surface - more so that my other cast iron pans. I thought I would be in for trouble. but the pre-seasoning on this pan holds up well and cleaning has been a breeze as nothing sticks - or as much of a breeze as any good cast iron pan.

Rough interior !!!!
At first glance, the item is very nice, however, I had a problem with the very rough interior surface, it is like coarse grit sandpaper. I used a rounded tip wooden spoon to cook with and after cooking, I had a straight tip on the spoon. I am quite sure Amazon will not lit this review printed.

My favorite cast iron pan!
This is my every-morning-breakfast pan. I make hash browns in it and then fry eggs. The pan has a flat bottom and straight up sides. Easy to clean and easy to use. I can re-season it whenever I want with ease but rarely have to do so. Just wipe clean or rinse out, put it over a medium low flame, then add grapeseed oil. Then in go the hash browns! This pan is also easy on my hands to grab, lift, and move. I love my Lodge pans but this pan I use every morning without hesitation.

Not really a wok, more of an Indian balti pan.
this does not appear to be the same high quality of say any Lodge Cast Iron pan. the surface is kind of rough in comparison. however, it works fine as a balti pan for Indian food. you can sir fry with it, but it is sort of small, so more of a pan for one or two servings, or to make a side dish, or if using a few smaller woks to cook components of a dish. It has its uses, but if you need a wok to make a large stir fry dish, maybe try a larger more traditional wok. this pan is rather shallow, more like a braising pan in shape. the pan is not exactly flat on the inside, and not as rounded as a wok from Lodge. but it will work in a pinch, and can easily fit on the stove top while other pans are being used as well. This is intended to be more of a wok to be used on a bbq grill, which it certainly would work well in that case, and having a smaller wok does come in handy. if space is an issue you can also use it to grill a burger or two on the stove, so it could be used for all sorts of things. This retains heat well, is not very heavy.

Perfect for flying light items like Samosa
What a great find! Anyone looking to shallow fry small items like falafel, fries, Samosas, etc I think it's wonderful for that. I got this because I love cast iron cooking and will add it to my collection! This review is for the 10" flat bottom wok. It works great on my electric stove. Came preseason but good to do a light wash with warm water and any a layer of your own seasoning. Can't wait to make stews and curries on this! I wish it came with a lid but I have tons of kids at home so no biggie. Get this if you love cast iron, need it for stews a small rice dishes and shallow frying!

Great pan
Have used for deep fry and stir fry. Great heat distribution and retention, easy to cook in. Heavy enough not to shift when stirred, good since handles get hot. Cleans like a dream.

Great addition to your kitchenware arsenal
Great for stir-frys! We've used it on our induction stove no problem but you can most definitely use it on the grill, regular stove, outdoors, etc! It heats up quick. It's Easy to clean. Comes slightly pre-seasoned. Just a word of caution that it is 100% cast iron, including the handles, so be careful when picking it up over heat. 10 inch might not be large enough for some but it definitely provides enough for two people.

Life time of service
You can't go wrong with cast iron. Had an aluminium pan before, didn't take long before the coating started chipping off rendering it useless. One of the reviews complained that the cooking surface was rough. Well any cast product will never be perfect. Mine wasn't perfect, it had small imperfections. So out came the disk sander and away went the dimples. I re-seasoned the pan, then came the test. Cracked an egg into it. No sticking! Looking forward to many years of service.
