Great product and Value.
The media could not be loaded. Bought these for my husband for Christmas. He loved them has already used them and says they work great. I would definitely suggest gifting them.

Good but could use improvements
I'm a commercial electrician and this set is useful because it works well with all threads for setting up racks. One thing I'm disappointed on is the 3/8 ratchet 3" reach extension is too big to fit inbetween a strut. If it was a 1/4" less thick it would fit in and be really nice. Overall it's a want thing for a electrician not a must have, but should save some time for me. I like the product.

Rarely used, but extremely useful when needed.
If you don't have a specific need for this, this is still one of the tools that you should buy and keep handy. You may use it rarely, but when you actually do need it you'll be very glad you have it. There are competitors that sell similar socket sets for less money, but I have no complaints with the Gearwrench brand

Amazing
This little set has saved me half a dozen times. It’s the best little travel socket set you could ever by

What is there is GOOD; Needs a touch more
I've thought of this system for many years. I am senior with MANY tools. Tough to justify more, but I kept running into difficult situations, so__. Bought the 1/4 and the 3/ 8 sets. I said a mental thank you quite few times using them. They made difficult much easier. I would give them 5*'s except for two and another aspects. Whereas GearWrench provides an adapter to go from 'pass-thru' female to 1/4 & 3/8male square drive respectively; none is provided to go from 1/4 & 3/8 female square drive to the pass-thru male drive of the extensions or sockets, therefore a torque wrench, or air or electric ratchet cannot be used. Manual ratcheting only. I have GearWrench's tap and die driver set which has a 3/8" female square drive to the pass-thru 3/8" Female, GearWrench # 82804, _so I used that for the 3/8 conversion. And have ordered a 1/4 drive - 7/16 12 point socket, which I will remove every other tooth of and think I can make it will work as a 1/4 square female to 1/4 pass-thru adapter. Also, and this is true of most sets irrespective of pass-thru, I many times wish for multiple lengths of very short extensions; 1.0", 1.5", 2" . I have a couple of 1/2" extensions , one of 1.0" the other ~ 1.25" 0r 1.5". No clue of brand but oh so glad I have them when needed. I like the sets and recommend them. If I weren't so demanding, they'd get 5*s. Great for tight quarters. Good snug GearWrench "surface-drive" socket fits.

Good wrench but not without its weakness.
This is an awesome drive system BUT... Gearwrench should engineer a quick release for the wrench itself (like a separate button or slide lock) to allow for the sockets to be removed easily. The flaw I'm about to discuss is inherent in the design of the wrench and not limited to gearwrench. Currently the sockets need some effort to insert or remove from the wrench. This tells me that with frequent use, there will be wear such that the socket will insert and remove more easily but the sockets will likely fall out of the wrench due to looseness. This is very bad in limited space where there is a high probability of losing the sockets. With a locking or unlocking mechanism engineered into the wrench, the socket will not wear down the mechanism for securing the socket inside the drive insert of the wrench, AND at the same time, also allowing for quick change of the sockets. I hope that Gearwrench will consider this for the next gen wrenches. Even so, this is an awesome wrench. I just question how long I can go without losing sockets to limited access areas.
