Conversational Comms. Perfect for a Blind Skier and Guide
My 2 year search for a two-way conversational type of headset is over. I am a blind skier and my wife is my guide. I am an intermediate and she is an expert. We cruise the blues at a pretty fast clip so need reliable comms to keep me from doing the "Agony of Defeat" ski wipeout. And if you don't know that one, google it. We tried, earbud type radios, talk-about types, even the CIA/Security ear piece wrist mic style. VOX or Push to Talk just couldn't cut it. Between wind noise, trying to respond while the other is keyed all made our skiing a challenge. Having been motorcycle riders before I went blind, we were familiar with this type of radio. Just didn't realize they had them for skiing. These things are GREAT! She can tell me the terrain, where other skiers are, if I need to turn, stop or even zip past. And I can respond I received the message or ask clarifications all just as easily as a phone call. This has even allowed us to get me onto a black diamond run. Perfect two-way comms, as clear and loud as any phone call, teleconference, or face to face conversation. The range is outstanding. For us, we are always within 100 meters and not a single issue. When she wants to do a run alone while I relax at the lodge with a beer, I can hear her from at least 700 meters away (direct line) Maybe close to a full Kilometer. (think 750 yards or just under 1/2 mile). We don't actually listen to music while skiing, because we are enjoying the skiing for what it is. But, that feature worked well as we tested it. The music would quiet while we talked then got louder. We even recommended our friends get one so they can talk while we ski and help guide. We haven't tried the mesh network for extending range, because it is the two of us, but will try it if our friends get a set. Oh, and it fits on our ski helmets and the speakers are pretty comfy inside. It doesn't diminish your hearing anymore than the helmet does, unless you are blasting music. We could have normal conversations on the chairlift with others. We highly recommend the CARDO Packtalk Ski

Incredible Enhancement to the Slopes
My group and I have been using the Cardo Packtalk Bold for years when riding motorcycles (and love them), but when we heard Cardo had launched a Packtalk Ski, we knew we had to buy these for the season. Just as we imagined, the communicators have been working flawlessly on the slopes. Our group ranges from expert skiiers to beginners (who take a bit more time to make it down the slopes), but with the Packtalk Ski, we are now able to spread out, ski our own lines and maintain communication the entire time. At our last trip to Breckenridge, we tested range by allowing each person to ski the entire run at our own pace. To our amazement, we never lost communication among 6 of us! The installation process in a ski helmet is as easy as it gets, simply by sliding the mount onto the shell of the helmet and running the 2 speakers to the ear pockets. We each pair to our phones, so we're able to jam out to our own music, take phone calls and communicate with each other, all at the same time! Battery life lasts the entire day on the slopes, even when leaving the units on during lunch (and beer) breaks. As a consensus among the 6 of us, the Cardo Packtalk Ski has been the single biggest enhancement to the slopes we've ever experienced. Highly recommend to any skier/boarder!

Highly Recommended!!! There’s no going back
This takes things to the next level. I knew the Cardo brand from having used their motorcycle headset little over a year ago but had no idea they offered a model specific to ski. Picked one up, urged two of my friends to do the same, and they arrived just in time for our Big Bear trip. Fit my helmet no problem; pretty straightforward and easy to mount for sure. Once we got to the mountain to give ‘em a go, IT WAS AWESOME!!! Being able to chat about whaaateeever throughout the day was just incredible. We were in stiches over some of the stuff that comes up when you can just say it as you think it. The range was great, no problems hearing each other, and SUPER easy to setup. All three of us went into it not too sure how we’d like it but after that weekend this thing is part of the go-kit, no doubt. HIGHLY recommend ????

Great experience, listening to music while you ski
I took my time looking for the best ski communication system. As a winter sports enthusiast, I wanted to be able listen to music and chat with my buddies while on the slopes. This packtalk ski device perfectly fits in my helmet and luckily it came just in time for my snowboarding weekend. The sound quality is amazing. I recommended it to all my buddies on the trip so we can use it at the same time, which sounds like a dope experience!

Awesome Product
This Cardo ski communication system is awesome! I heard about it from a friend and unfortunately this winter season is over, but I just couldn’t hold off until next season. I’ve already checked out its capabilities in my helmet and amazed at the quality. I know I haven’t truly tested it so it looks like I need to travel and take a ski trip soon.

This Cardo ski communications device is such a blessing. It has a powerful speaker and it's great for listening to music and getting in the zone. I ordered it and the product is better than expected with even super cool packaging. I only wish the product came sooner.

Best thing you can do for safety and a great time on the mountain!
This device is absolutely amazing. Talk to your friends on the slopes and not have to yell. So great for knowing where the group is going and never have to worry about leaving anyone behind because you can connect with everyone. Good range and lasts the whole day. Game changer.

Skiing has never been so fun! Being able to speak to our kids on the slopes... without yelling, is nothing short of amazing. Not to mention we jam out to music as well!

Fantastic bit of equipment
We have tried walk-in talkies without success over the years. When we saw this and the good reviews we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed at all, well worth the money. Easy to use, a good range especially when in line of sight. We would not ski without these now, being able to speak to each other wherever you were was great. Highly recommend.

Habe es mit meiner Familie genutzt, 2 Kinder, und es war großartig. Sehr einfach zu installieren und zu nutzen. Die Knöpfe sind etwas klein aber man gewöhnt sich schnell dran. Die Packtalks haben unsere Skitage viel besser gemacht, wir hatten einfach mehr Spaß. Die Kids fahren gerne „Schuss“ voraus und ich konnte zu jeder Zeit mit ihnen sprechen, sagen sie sollen warten oder links fahren etc. Es ist auch toll beim Skifahren einfach miteinander zu quatschen, eine ganz andere Erfahrung. Was ich auch sehr gut finde ist, dass ich Musik hören konnte während der Fahrt und die Lautstärke automatisch angepasst wurde wenn jemand sprach, die Musik verschwindet dann im Hintergrund (super Sound übrigens). Damit kann man dann auch gut lange fahrten auf dem Lift überbrücken. Es haben uns viele Leute darauf angesprochen und wir konnten nur gutes sagen. Unsere Familie hat es richtig genossen, kann ich nur empfehlen!

Solo conecta en red mediante DMC
No enlaza con otros dispositivos. Únicamente con cardo PackTalk a través del sistema DMC. El enlace al móvil mediante bluetooth super rápido, pero conexión con otros dispositivos, incluso de la propia marca Cardo, imposible. He estudiado tutoriales y consultado manuales y solo conecta en red mediante el sistema DMC.

Bonjour, Nous nous sommes équipés de Cardo Packtalk Ski et je dois dire que même si je pensais que c'était un peu gadget au début, ce kit d'intercom s'est avéré absolument génial à l'usage. Il nous permet de communiquer facilement avec nos enfants, nous leur donnons des conseils et des directions, c'est vraiment très agréable !
