Be careful working it over the handle

Definite improvement for XXL Hands. Look up putting it on, on You Tube. With a bit of very warm water soaking, and carefully, gently, pulling, working it over, the existing handle with a tool that won't pierce or cut the rubber, it will go on. Wiggle pull gently, wiggle pull gently, etc

Replacement handle for a hurricane cane

I didn't have her hurricane cane, so it didn't exactly fit right, but I made it fit. I love it. It's comfortable to hang on to it's a soft rubber and I think it's all around good product I would get it again in fact I think I did.

Hard to get on, gentle to the touch!

Good cane but has a problem, cover good when on

This is a very good cane. Strong, adjusts to perfect height, fold up nice when needed. It has a design flaw. If not for this I would have rated it a 5. The bolt that holds the foot in place unscrewed and the foot came loose. When I tried to take the cover off the bottom to get to the screw I couldn't. Had to break it off. I broke it off and screwed the foot back on. It came loose again. I now tighten it with my hand once in awhile when using. I could glue it with epoxy or liquid nails but then would be very difficult to change the foot when it wears out. Both the removal of the bottom cover plate and no lock nut set up for the bolt is a problem. I like the cane well enough that I'll live with it but many people won't want to. Not a difficult problem to fix if the company takes the time to change a little engineering. Many people would rate this cane much lower because of these problems but I like the way it works and its comfort so well I rate it a 4. This part is an update to the above review. The above was for the cane. This part is for the rubber handle cover to add comfort. Cover is nice once you get it on. Be prepared to be cursing at it when you do. I think takes someone with pretty strong hands. I'm 220 and fairly strong. I had trouble but fought it on. Does no move once on but be prepared to struggle.

The handle made ALL the difference.

I purchased the cane and the 'extra' handle as a gift for my Dad. It turned out that he'd already bought one of the canes awhile back but has subsequently gotten rid of it because it was never comfortable in his large hand. He said it felt too small and made him worry about pitching over for lack of a reliable grip. Well, as it turned out, the 'extra' handle grip was actually a larger grip. He instantly replaced the original with the 'extra' one and he's not been without the new cane since that moment, neither around the house nor while traveling. I think it's safe to say that the larger grip made ALL the difference and he never really had anything against the first HurryCane - except the small and worrisome standard grip. Thank you every so much for providing the varied sizes! Had we been aware, my Dad would have been as a loyal a user even earlier.

Loose fit

My Mum's walking cane handle was too thin and slippery for her. This cover helped a little, but it is a tad loose. You can feel it through your grip when holding the cane. It should be tighter fit. Also use a little soapy water when inserting cover otherwise it is very hard to get it on.
