Super Price on Ankle weights that WORK!

I had Knee Replacement surgery and am diligently doing my P.T. twice a Day. I've progressed to a point of adding more resistance to strengthen my leg muscles. I have been going to P.T. twice a week and they have all kinds of equipment to use. I don't. I'm using mostly Tensioning exercises and rubber Bands and Flat Tubing to complete my exercises. I ordered these ankle weights on Saturday and they arrived on Monday! Super Fast! I got them out and "tried them on" my ankles and have been using them in my recently updated exercise regimen. LOVE the ability to easily unzip the top and take out whatever weight I want to as I build my strength and add it back in as needed. They work well. I do have THREE suggestions. One would be adding some softer materials to the inside of the "bands". (I know that will increase the price!) I understand that the material used must be durable, but it is a little coarse. Wearing long socks helps and wearing long pants and not just shorts also helps. I'd also like to see a strap that would go down around and under the Heel, so the weights don't slide up your leg when you use them "upside down" as when you do leg curls while lying on a table. Yes, you can pull the straps tight, but the bottom strap would help stabilize the use. Last thought would be to add a small "pull tab" to the end of the adjustable straps. Black on Black, combined with some required, aggressive velcro on the straps really makes the ends hard to see and find! A small, colorful tab makes them MUCH easier to see, find and Grab the end!

Should wear some padding

Should wear thick socks under the whole entire weights.. wearing thin fabric is not enough for me to not get rub burn or blister, but with extra cushion between legs and weights the product is good.. I wish that they could make them less bulky though.

Great price

I bought these to ramp up my workouts. They came looking a little worn, but for the price I just went with it. They are very tall, but they still work great. Great price, easy to put on, a little awkward adding more weight and zipping it up.

Works

This works well for me. I don't have the problems I've read in the negative reviews. At this price an item will be mass produced as cheaply and quickly as possible with a high margin of error and little quality assurance. I think many people probably get defective items. I got lucky.Mine hasn't ripped, the straps aren't too short, the sand hasn't leaked out, they stay tight enough on my legs. My work outs don't involve jogging or being upside down. These won't work for that, they'll move around too much and chafe and maybe fall apart. Otherwise these are the cheapest/heaviest weights I could find and for slow moving exercises and wearing around the house they're perfect. Otherwise pay more and get softer more compact and well made weights.

too tall + too bulky + too shifty

The media could not be loaded. These work. But if i had wanted to strap water bottles onto my legs, I would have done that & not paid $19 for these scratchy cheap HUGE ankle weights. These are: - Filled with sand (i wish it was solid concrete, which takes up less space) - TOO Bulky -- I noticed less range of motion during exercises - TOO TALL 8.25” (slightly taller than a standard 16.9oz waterbottle) — Maybe this height is fine for men? But I am 5’10” female & they went almost halfway up my leg & kept slipping while I exercised. I also wasn't sure if they were working the intended muscles since they go so far up the leg. - straps are so flimsy (actually makes it difficult to strap them on — the strap flies everywhere!) -10 lb each (divided into 5 pieces) -Shift constantly -- I strapped them on as tight as possible. But they still shift around so much it feels like they will fall off. I use only 8 pounds per leg (i take one of the weights out of each so it has 4 instead of 5), but I have not had this issue happen with other ankle weights. So instead I just re-purchased some old ankle weights that I used to own (by Amazon Basics). I recommend the Amazon Basics ones, they are: - 10lb each (divided into 5 pieces) - SOLID concrete (5 pieces of solid concrete) - allows greater range of motion (since they are smaller volume with the same weight). - good height (6” tall) - The weight is actually concentrated around the ankles, where it is supposed to be. - Does not shift constantly & does not feel like it will fall off, even if you take out some of the weights.

Huge/bulky on your ankles

These are very bulky compared to other pairs I’ve used in the past. I think it’s because the individual weights are really large, and by the time you stick them all around, they stick our quite a bit. They are doing ok for what I need (climbing steps training for mountain climbing) but would not order again.

Great for many types of workouts!

I had those for one month already, and I use them everyday! They work great! Although the ankle weights is adjustable by removing the bags from the pockets(the bags could have a better quality, they look like plastic garbage bags), I rather keeping all of them because is a bit hard to put them back in. The ankle weights itself are really good quality. The reason I am giving 4-stars is just because of the straps, they are bad quality. The Velcro is already coming apart and is fraying. It probably won't last long, and I'll have to buy new Velcro. However, the weights themselves are a great weight and you can use them on your wrists if they're bigger. I can use on my wrists, but on my girlfriend they fall off. For the price I would say they're the best!

Ankle weights.

Very crudely (Chinese) made pair of ankle weights. Not very comfortable when on my ankles they are a lot better ones on the market.

My experience with them

Ok this is my experience with these weights, and I'm a 6ft 240 pound guy Ankles: I had to empty one of the weights so I could get the straps on so no full 10 pounds, had my bro try it with the same issue and he's 60 pounds lighter (it needs longer straps) Wrists: with the full 10 pounds, it just slide around so much as you could not make them tight enough, removing 1-2 of the weights helped some but that defeats the purpose if you want the full 10 pound weight (longer strap and extra rings placed lower would fix this) Quality: as far as I can tell these are made well, but not so comfortable to wear so having something between you and these weights will save you some pain except the sore mussels:) So IMO these will work as ankle weights for girls and skinny/small guys, but get something else for wrist weights

First off, shout out to Amazon for having everything I need all the time. These are fantastic and easy to use. They are large enough to fit around my calf (both of them)! Perfect. I am 128 ponds for reference.
