Exactly as pictured

Others might have received an item that differed from the image in the ad, the one I received is exactly as described. Seems well built and is fairly high quality.

one peice casting

One peice casting, does the job, was priced accordingly. I purchsed this handle and a single die to clean up a bunch of j-bolts. It did the job fine but was not the one in the image. Removable handles would be a lot better.

Good quality.

This is a good, inexpensive die stock that should give a mechanic or fixit guy a lifetime of service. Just be sure you have hex dies, not round ones.

Very flexible.

With both handles removeable it worked great in rethreading lug mounting screws.

Novice threader. did the job.

I needed to thread some 3/8 x26t rod for a bike trailer axle. I've never threaded a rod before so take this review knowing it is the only one I've ever used. My initial reaction was that this is cheap cast metal And possibly it is. I did expect this from the low price so I wasn't disappointed. Bottom line is cranked away and it took all the torque I could give it and my rod is now nicely threaded. I felt like the handle could have been slightly longer to give me more leverage.

One half the size i was expecting. Too light to really put any pressure on it. If you are looking for one, look for one that it is at least 12 to 14 inches long.

One that doesn't break when you use it.

Good replacement for me. I have broken both of my HF die holders. Both metric and SAE. This one is a lot sturdier. It is still made from aluminium, but manufacturing is better. Should take a lot more torque. I have the 1" round dies that fit in this and you tighten the small screw to hold in place. It will also hold the 1" hex dies. Of course since this is sturdier, it's a bit longer. So it does not fit in my HF set case. Have to live with it.
