Junk - Do Not Buy

The media could not be loaded. I know this was a cheap option. However, missing a major part that holds sand in place. Three hoses in box do not fit the assembly. This is absolutely absurd...

1/3 HP Sand Filter Pump

This is a 1/3 HP sand filter pump that can do up to 8000 gallon pools at a rate of 4000GPH. Assembly was not much, although the directions included are once again lacking for something this involved. It took me about an hour to figure everything out and that included going to get a hose that would actually fit between the pump and the filter. The included hose would not fit on the connection. In fact none of them would. I even rechecked the directions and couldn't figure it out. I finally just went and got a different hose. As far as operation goes I haven't a clue yet. I'm still in the process of opening the pool, but I'm thinking this will be a big upgrade from the cartridge filter that originally came with the pool. It takes 35 pounds of silica sand. Overall as of right now I haven't got much of an issue with the pump besides the one hiccup with the hose. I'm hoping it performs as well as it looks. I will update the review if anything major happens with operation.

Very nice!

This pump is awesome! Clears the pool I have out in no time! I haven't really owned a sand pump before so this being relatively easy to set up was amazing. I do think it was kind of expensive, but most pumps like this do have a high price point. Really nice quality of each part, nothing felt cheap so if you need a pump then this will do!

Works great

The media could not be loaded. I found the equipment to be of acceptable quality, compared to the price, the sand container is plastic, lighter and larger than other brands, with an affordable price. It keeps my pool clean. The pool pump is easy to install and works well. I liked it.

Easy to set up pool pump/sand filter for your above ground pool. Works great.

My old pump broke and was underpowered anyway, so when I found this pump/sand filter combo I was excited. It set up very easily and I got it working withing a few hours on cleaning up my above ground pool. It used the small tubes that have a hose clamp to secure them onto the water outlets, but you could get some adapters if you have the larger hoses that screw together. It works great and has been working without any problems on my pool for about a month now. 5 stars.

Nice Clean Water

We upgraded our canister filter system and will never look back. This sand filter is far superior to our old system. Installation was not bad and we have had no leaks or other issues. The price was nice a lot less than we were expecting. Overall we are pleased and we would buy again. 5 STARS
