No screened hole for pet

Every bag I have ever bought has had a zippered window for the pet. This one is completely open window for your pet to escape. Do not buy!

Too Big

This is a lovely bag but too big for my little Maltese. Vera Bradley, please bring back your smaller pet carrier with breathing mesh on both ends. It’s perfect! Mine is all but worn out.

great pup bag

This bag is great - super cute - great quality and somewhat lightweight, which is helpful. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is due to the size. It's big. If you have a toy or a tiny dog you normally would carry or get a pet tote for; this bag will swallow them up. I have 3 small dogs of different breeds and its just too big. If you have a dog the size/weight to fit this bag - I imagine they would be way too heavy to carry for long. Other than that.. its a perfect tote for them. We use it in the car along with the seat mat and they love it. 2 of my dogs fit in this bag which they love laying together anyway.

Vera Bradley quality but my pup is unsure

This Vera Bradley Recycled Lighten Up Water-Repellent Pet Carrier Tote offers Vera Bradley quality but my pup is unsure. So this is a big, dog, purse. I have a 14lb pup that goes almost everywhere with me because a) he likes it and b) he misbehaves if left behind at home. This looked like a wonderful solution for times when we have to go inside somewhere. This is a soft side bag. It is made of a 100% polyester, canvas that uses recycled bottles in the manufacturing process. Bonded to the back of the canvas is a polyurethane layer that is waterproof and very easy to clean. The bag has two, seat belt webbing, carry handles. On one side is two, wide and deep, pockets for carrying water, treats, food, etc. On the other side is a D-ring for attaching your poop bag holder. It has a zippered top closure and a hole at one end for your pup's head so he/she can look around. There is also a small strap with buckle for attaching to your dog's collar or harness so you pup cannot just jump out through the hole for his head. The inside bottom features a removable pad that is memory foam with a removable, washable, faux sherpa, cover. The cover is incredibly soft so your pup will be very comfortable on it. To use it, unzip the top, place your pup in the bag with the head pointed toward the head hole, clip the tether strap to you dog's harness or collar, and zip it closed. My dog, who is a chihuahua/dachshund mix, fits very well inside with plenty of room for him to lie down. The problem is that he is not too sure he wants to be in a bag. LOL I believe we will be able to get him used to it because he lives to go places with us but it will take some time. Right now, we are carrying him in the bag in our arms and he seems to be okay with that so I think he will eventually get used to being in it as we carry it using the carry handles.

To big for small dogs

Well made but to big for a small animal. There should be another smaller size.

Stylish carrier

This is super stylish for a pet carrier, I love that you get the Vera Bradley style for your pet too. I personally use a pet carrier a lot, I have smaller dogs and if they need to go to the vet or if I'm taking them out somewhere, I prefer to carry them this way. I'm one of those ones that has tons of carriers and even a stroller for them but this tote style is the easiest for me personally. You can swing it over your shoulder and the pet is comfortable. This bag is the high quality you expect from Vera. The inside has a great plastic type material so it's extremely easy to clean and the bottom is a sherpa padded piece, which can be removed to be cleaned as well. You get some much needed storage space on the sides. It's comfortable to carry and looks fabulous! I recommend.

Really smart look for the doggie!

The media could not be loaded. This is a really nice size for a small dog. It’s spacious. I like that the pillow is removable and all the sides are wipeable. The bag feels like a good quality. Has two nice size pockets on the outside that you can wipe out easily due to the vegan leather lining. I like the print. I went ahead and got the whole set of pet accessories that match this pattern. Really smart look for the doggie.
