Cool gift but not easy to fill

Gift was perfect but a little hard to fill....very floppy. Needs to be placed on a tray in freezer.

These stir sticks/ice cubes are just too 'cool'!

I bought these for my husband for Father's Day. He took them out of the box, rinsed them off, and immediately filled them with water. This is where things got tricky. Because the tray for these guitar cubes is silicone, it is not rigid enough to hold itself flat and level. We needed to set the silicone tray on another tray to keep it level and not spill all the water in the freezer. And because we have lots of things in the freezer, without a designated ice cube tray area, where the tray can sit level, we had to try to rearrange the frozen item in the freezer, trying to make a flat spot on which to put the guitar cube tray. After that they froze quickly! They came out of the tray very easily! and they looked like tiny guitars!! Very cute!! My husband loved them!!

Awesome Response as Gifted for son, not used yet, but...

...gave to son for Fathers Day gift, he's been out of town and just got back, so he can't wait to try them! LOVED the look of them, and when he can finally use, I'm sure he'll love.. Will await That review lol, but I'm sure they'll be great :)

Great ice cube tray

Except for water, I like all my drinks on the rocks. And I mean, on the rocks. I usually fill my glass with lots of ice then pour the drink - I bought glass stirring rods (yes, the ones used in chemistry labs) as stirrers for when the ice melts and I eventually end up with all the water on top and the denser liquid at the bottom. I came across this product and this is just genius. It's ice + stirrer in one! Like mentioned by previous reviews, this tray can only generate 3 sticks of ice, but since I'm the only one really using it, it's fine for me. Also note that the ice is pretty large, so I wouldn't think it would fit into glasses with diameters of a champagne goblet. I was skeptical that the sticks won't even stick to the ice long enough, but it did. I am very impressed by this product. I don't really care much for the two little musical note molds on the tray - they were way too shallow and crack apart most of the time.

keep in mind it's a novelty

looks fantastic, ice easy to get out if you set guitar neck in properly, works best if headstock a little out of groove and other end of neck further in to the body of guitar space. ice can melt more before it falls apart. only issue is flavor. still can't use in just water. not sure when flavor of tray fully disappears, but won't notice if used in strongly flavored drinks. tray works best when transported on flat surface, or even better, fill up with water while already sitting in freezer, silicone is too flimsy to try & move on it's own without spilling. as long as you keep in mind they are a novelty you shouldn't be disappointed. will need a couple of these trays and leave them in freezer until moment of use to get best results.

Awesome, fun, sturdy ice tray!

These are AEWSOME, fun and sturdy ice trays. Also the picture is a little misleading, as the "cubes," with swirl sticks attached, are about 6 inches long, and the tray is fairly deep, producing a 3/4"-1" thick guitar "cube." They are so fun looking, and the sticks come in three different colors. The tray is sturdy and doesn't flop around much when you fill it. There are also two very shallow spots shaped like music notes that you can use to make some tiny accent cubes. Would be fun to add some coloring to these and use them for a party. They are also well-sized for use as popsicles. I can't wait to show these off to my guests!
