Great quality
My last pedals snapped and these seem to be a great alternative, since most bike shops don't carry flat pedals anymore. They are a little sharp at first, but they do great in wet conditions. I use these almost daily on my steel road bike. They do great with all the pot holes we have out here in Los Angeles. I really recommend trying these out, probably the strongest flats I had so far.

ditch the clipless
These flat 420 pedals from Azonic are very grippy. I searched my go to online shops and only Amazon had them in stock and ready to ship. The only downside is the color choice, I was hoping for options, but red was okay, because I have the same pair of pedals on my full suspension downhiller.

Good pedals
Good pedals. They rotate smoothly, they are not dramatically grippy, but grippy enough. After around 1000 km, green grease started coming out of the left pedal. However - the grease was clean, no dirt or metal powder visible in it. A little later the same happened at the right pedal. Now, after around 7000 km with these pedals, there is no grease coming out anymore. The pedals still rotate perfectly smoothly, i.e. there is no bearing damage due to lack of lubrication other otherwise. I think it is safe to assume that the grease which did come out of the pedals initially was just normal excess grease as it gets pressed out of new bearings in the initial days of use. That grease was my only concern with the pedals, technically they're great and very robust. They show no visible traces of wear yet, although I'm sometimes treating them roughly.

Great Pedals
I have had these pedals for 1 month now, and they are a huge improvement over the Wellgo pedals I was using prior. The color is fantastic and matches the accents on my MTB - so 5+ stars for aesthetics. Performance wise they grip my shoes well, are light weight, and are wide enough to accommodate my feet. I have not been slipping off of these pedals like I have others, and the platform is flush, whereas other pedals have a raised middle spline that is a detriment to surface area contact. The downside is that I do sometimes pedal my feet right off of the pedals and have a few "bite marks" on my calves as a result (but I cannot blame the pedal for that). This is a good value pedal for the money.

Best pedals out there!
Absolutely the best bike pedals I've ever used. I have a size 12EE shoe and the broad platform is a perfect fit. The studs are very substantial which keeps my feet planted and leaves little to no energy wasted when pedaling. Wet shoes grip no problem with little to no slipping. I considered clipless pedals before purchasing these, and feel I made the better choice as I have their benefits as well as the ability to remove myself from them with ease. They also came in anodized red which is the same color as the factory pedals I am replacing. They look as if they were part of the original design of the bike. Highly recommended! Will be buying another set to put on the phat bike I'm building over winter.

An excellent, well machined set of pedals
I bought these pedals based upon other reviews. It is a very light, cnc machined pedal. It is a quality pedal and went onto the crank of my Specialized FSR Mountain Bike with zero issues. It is extremely durable and the pins grip my shoes extremely well. My only complaint is that, given the brand and the price, I expected pedasl made in the U.S. The package says "Designed in California. Made in Taiwan" I think a $90 CNC machined pedal with the O'Neal brand on it should have been manufactured in the US. When I spend a premium on an American brand ($90 for a pair of pedals) like O'Neal I expected an American Made product.

These are actually really nice pedals. I bought these instead of the Crank ...
These are actually really nice pedals. I bought these instead of the Crank Brothers 5050 because I saw another reviewer say these were more "grippy" than the CB. They're probably right. They're definitely very very grippy. I also like the color (it matches the other elements on my bike). These pedals are also made from a solid block of solid aluminum. They're very strong and sturdy. I expect they will take a lot of abuse. They are nice and wide, and also tall. They do seem to be heavy in my opinion. I'd give them another star if they had some sort of reflector on the pedal.

just what I hoped for
After buying my first road bike--I invested in clipless pedals w/shoes. they did not work for me--I'm sure it was something I was doing wrong--but had 3 crashes from my shoes not disengaging--the last one was bad--landed on top of a guard rail--still attached to my bike. Now I am just plain afraid to ride with them--and why ride if you are afraid> So---I bought the ONeal Azonic 420 flat pedals with a pair of Lake Mountain shoes and they are wonderful. the shoes are so much more comfortable than riding with sneakers--the grip between the pedals and mb shoes give my pedaling power AND best of all--I am not afraid to ride. Maybe someday I'll try the clipless again--it was a big waste of money--but for now--I am loving this combination.
