Ridiculously huge
Bought my regular size and had inches extra in the waist. The rest of the shorts were very baggy too. I just gave them away since I had already washed them. The length was good unrolled - just past the knee. Don't know if I would need 2 sizes down so won't bother buying online.

Update My size 12 still need to be returned.
I in the midst of all this returning and reordering, The size 12s I ordered did not get returned. I just found them on the shelf in the original packaging and I didn’t even print the mailing label. Now it says it’s too late to return them. For shorts that are too expensive in the first place it feels kind of like a punch. I was ordering clothes for Florida to visit my mother-in-law who was dying since deceased. And my brothers father-in-law who has since deceased also. So not to be a downer but a lot was going on. I ordered a size 10 and I thought they were too small. I exchange them for a size 12 and they were more like a 14. So I exchange them back for a 10 and I received a Skort. Then luckily they had another pair in a size 10 not in the same color but I took them anyway and they fit fine. A couple years ago they had a style nearly the same but they were heavier fabric and just a better short. I wish they still sold that one.

Not what they used to be
I've been buying Aventura shorts for several years and have loved them every time. I just purchased the Quarry color in my usual size 12. First of all, the fit has changed and they are now cut smaller and second, the material is not as heavy and the stitching on the waistband and label has changed and not as nice as it used to be. Somewhat disappointed that they've gone cheaper in quality but still priced pretty high.

Quality and they’re comfort
I bought a grey pair “up north” and like them so much I found another color on Amazon. They fit well and wash well.

Same great fit!
I decided to order the white shorts as I already have a pair of yellow shorts that I like very much. I'm glad to see they haven't changed the styling or the fit much. The fit is very flattering and comfortable. The only con I have is that the white fabric is a bit on the transparent side. But since there are pockets in both front and back, it doesn't cause too much of an issue.

Perfect for those wanting a slim-fit longer leg short
I have loved wearing these shorts since my first purchase in 2016, particularly because of the longer slim leg and the touch of stretch. The shorts I recently purchased have less detailing and less trims which is disappointing.

Love Aventura
The quality and fit of Aventura usually works for my 60 year old fluffy body type. I wear a 10 or 12 in most of their clothes 5'5" and 170.
