Great Value

Kids grow up quick and that makes buying tech gear difficult. Who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on rain gear that gets occasional use and will be outgrown quickly??? Thankfully, there are options like this jacket. We bought this for our son who loves camping and the outdoors. So far he has worn this coat and the matching rain pants on 2 trips on which it was a complete washout. Both times the jacket kept his base layers dry and comfortable, and the massive back vent allowed for plenty of circulation to expel sweat as he kept playing in the rain all day. I won’t name any brands, but I own some very reputable name brand rain gear that I wore on the same outings. At least once I experienced small amounts of wet out. He didn’t experience any yet. Now to be fair, my gear is older and more used, and it has been cleaned/treated with nikwax, but his was treated the same and has held up beautifully. Would recommend as an affordable option for an active outdoor kid.

Size up

I got the green size 8 for my 6 year old who is wearing 6/7 clothes. It fits, but just. I thought it would be big on him but it will probably just last this one season. Otherwise a very nice jacket!

Love the color

I wanted a bright colored raincoat for my daughter. Lime green is her favorite color so I was excited to find this. I love that the bright color makes her more visible to drivers while we’re walking to school. I needed a coat large enough she could wear her Columbia fleece jacket underneath on colder days so I sized up. This was one of the few kids brands big enough for her to wear over the fleece jacket. The sleeves are too long, but we just roll them up. The larger size means the length comes just below her butt, which is great for providing extra coverage. Love the mesh lining inside to make it more breathable. The first day my daughter wore it to school she wore it all day and didn’t take it off. The description says it’s only water resistant, not waterproof. This is ok with us since we also use an umbrella. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there’s no drawstring or anything on the hood to make it tighter.

Nice packable rain jacket.

Lightweight. Packs into its own pocket for travel. Sturdy made. Love the bright green color. My son loves it. Happy with purchase.

Light weight and water resistant

nice jacket

my son loves this jacket, one small issue, there are stickers on the front, that did not want to come off. I have to use shout and wash a few times to get rid of the stickiness from the sticker on it. Otherwise great product.

Is waterproof

This jacket is cute and doesn't allow water to soak through; however, the hood has no drawstring or other means of making the hood secure, which presents a problem on windy days. If not for this issue, I would have given the jacket five stars.

Lightweight, packable raincoat

I ordered this rain coat for my six year old and she loved it. My tall, skinny child usually wears a size 7-8 but I sized up to the medium. It is big on her, but not as big once on her as it looked out of the package. My guess is that if we had stayed true to her size and ordered the small, it would have fit perfectly but she would have outgrown it quickly. It is lightweight, which we like for warmer rainy days. On cold days, she can always wear a sweatshirt underneath. We both think it’s a neat bonus that it can pack into its pocket and is so lightweight so is easy to bring when traveling to some place like a camping trip or Disney World and you want to be prepared. The coat covers her bottom and the hood covers her head easily, both of which are important to us to keep her dry. The pink is a pretty pale pink that my daughter really likes too.

Great fit for my granddaughter

My 9year old granddaughter requested this for her birthday because she was going to walk to school and needed a rain jacket. It fits well and she has room for a hoody underneath.

Runs small. But good in general unfortunately my daughter can not wear it and I can not return it because if the covid.but it is good and very light
