A superfície do piso deve estar limpa e seca. 2. Meça e corte o Hold-It para tapetes para ajustar o contorno do tapete ou tapete sendo mantido no lugar. 3. Remova para liberar o forro da espuma e aplique o lado exposto do forro no tapete ou tapete. 4. Pressione o tapete firmemente no lugar. Surprisingly, it is working.
So far it is working. I have an area rug that continuously "walked" on my hardwood floor. I could move it very easily by just nudging it with my foot. I installed this tape around the entire perimeter of this rug (5' x 5'), and hoped for the best, but wasn't expecting miracles. I did take the time and care to stomp the edges of the carpet (where the tape was installed) multiple times after installation in an effort to somewhat adhere it to the floor. I also have never tried/ tested the adhesion. I just left it undisturbed after stomping on it repeatedly. We are on day four, and it hasn't moved a single bit. It is installed on hardwood in front of my sectional sofa that is in constant use by two rambunctious boys. So far, so good.

Doesn't hold rug in place
My rug still slides all over the floor... Just slightly less easily.

... only used this for two purposes and one I love and the other didn't work at all
I've only used this for two purposes and one I love and the other didn't work at all. The first rug I tired it on was an area rug in my daughter's carpeted room (rug to protect carpet as she's a toddler). The rug had it's own backing but is a cheap rug from Ikea so it's nothing great, pretty stiff. This tape did NOTHING to keep it in place. In fact, it didn't even stick to the rug so it was more frustrating than ineffective. The second use however made me order this a second time. We use it on a small foot rug inside our foyer on a hardwood floor which our coat closet door and front door both skim over and made the rug slide and get stuck EVERY TIME before we put the tape on but now with the tape it stays put! The first application of tape on this rug lasted over a year (I think it was closer to 2 1/2) with those doors constantly rubbing against it so I bought a second roll to replace the tape and we're back to firmly in place. For that use, it's well worth it, but don't bother if you're hoping for rug-on-carpet use.

Absolutely works
Fabulous product. Keeps rugs in place on hard surfaces. So easy to use and customize

Use a whole lot or rug will eventually slip. Binds to floor and flakes into a mess after a year
Worked great for about a year, but it sticks a little too well to the floor and not well enough to the rug, even with the adhesive side facing the rug. For light traffic, you'll be ok if you use enough. For pets running around or if you skimp on initial application, it just eventually turns into a flaky mess. I keep vacuuming up pieces every week and will eventually have to remove it from the laminate floor, which it has gotten stuck to.

Duck tape fails - First time
I've used Duct Tape for a lot of unintended purposes over the years. I reasoned that since this Duct Tape was intended to hold rugs to floors, it should do a good job of holding the cushions in my chair. Well, it kinda works, but not as well as I had hoped. The cushions still slip out after a while, but not as quickly as they did in the past. So, Duct Tape, if you're reading this, there's probably a market for a cushion holding tape too. Get on it if you would and promote it with great fanfare so I'll know when it comes out. It's either that or I end up wrapping the cushion TO the chair, ala most duct tape solutions! haha IF I ever use it on rugs, I'll update my review, but for cushions, just three stars and an "eh".

So far it’s working!
I’m a renter so I was really looking for something that did require sticking to the floor. Since this product didn’t have amazing reviews I was skeptical but it was the closest thing I could find to a single side adhesive (rug side). We’re trying it on 3 runners so far that my cat loves to run over in the mornings. So far I’m hopeful. It was super easy to apply and the rug hasn’t moved yet (it’s been 2 full days of cat and humans walking over these runner rugs a lot). I can purposely move the rug with my foot if I push forcefully. It’s definitely relying between friction of the non-sticky side of the tape and the flooring to keep the rug in place. I think this is why some folks have had luck and others haven’t because the friction with different floor types is higher or lower. I’m hopeful this continues to work for me!

Works but not as well as I hoped
Bought to keep a door mat in place inside my front door. They stick well but we're also able to be moved after I decided on a new way to place them. They hold the may in place much better than before but it still moves. I was also disappointed that little rug needed the whole package to work (and even still moves around). Got it for a great price though

Works great
We had to cover our house with rugs for our old dog. But the carpet would still slide under her paws. Until we got Hold It. It works great and our dog can walk from the bed upstairs to the backdoor without toughing hardwood flooring. Strongly recommend!

Works as intended
Works great. Place under rugs or floor mats and it keeps them in place. It’s as simple as that and it actually works!

Do not stick well to carpet
Stick well to the floor with no residues but do not stick well to the carpet. Still better than nothing
