Leaves overflow open not shut.

I was looking for a plate to shut off the tub overflow. This product says it's "no hole" and that's true, but they don't say--definitively anyway--that it's still designed to let the water out since it mounts with a thin gap between it and the tub itself (I guess that's what "floating" means. I used big rubber washers to fit inside the cap to plug the gap, but it took some cutting and silicone adhesive to work around the bolt heads that attach the mounting bracket. It was work, but I got it to work. Can someone simply make a cap to shut off a tub overflow if one wants to?

Using this cover so no water flows through "overflow" hole as piping was not set up correctly.

Does NOT include silicone seal, must be purchased separately.

Seems to be good enough quality, though I haven't installed it yet. My problem is that, in the instructions, they state that you need to use a silicone seal instead of plumber's putty. I asked if there was a silicone seal included in the kit and never heard anything back. Went ahead and ordered it and, sure enough, there is NOT a seal included. So, now I have to buy a seal and wait for it to be delivered and HOPE it will fit correctly. May update later if I remember after installation.

Junk

To start the delivery date was inconsistent the day it was to deliver it changed to the next day. Upon arrival it appeared they painted it matte black over a blemished cover but I attempted to install it anyway as I needed my tub only to find it was stripped and fit loose so irritated I paid so much for trash I treated it as such and threw it away as I'm not in a situation to deliver it for return anyway. Frustrating I spent what I did to get someone else's trash.

Dry nice but very big. Looks very “after market” as it sticks out a bit from the tub. It’s fine. Great quality.
