Wonderful!
This clock is so beautiful. Functions perfectly well and without any noise. The steel has a high quality and the engine works perfect without any noise. The design is fantastic and one of a kind. I highly recommend this beautiful modern clock.

Good looks, but hard to read.
Very stylish clock. However, the gold hands on gold background makes it difficult to read at times as I feared.

Pretty but can’t read the time
This is a beautiful clock that blended perfectly into our remodel. However, the hands match the rest of the clock exactly. When you’re across the room and for most natural lighting situations, it’s impossible to read the time. I was very reluctant to return this but we did buy it also for functionality so it ultimately went back. I wish this made with with contrasting hands.

Beautiful clock
I love the silver ribbon clock because it’s stylish and modern for my home office. It does not make any ticking sounds in which that’s a major plus. I might get another color for my dining room.

A Good Idea Fails With Near-Unreadable Hands
I already had the Umbra wood ribbon clock in my living room, and since I really liked that one, I decided to buy the smaller metal version for the bedroom. The silver version was deeply discounted compared to the black and copper versions, so I thought it might be a good idea to pick one up. When I received it, I was really disappointed in how the light red hands were almost unreadable. I didn't want to go through the return process, as it would probably cost almost as much to return it as it was to buy it. So, what should I do? I was thinking that perhaps the hands can be made darker to become easier to see. During my lunch hour, I went to Staples and bought a permanent black marker. I thought I was either going to ruin the clock, or hopefully, make it better to read. As I started to color the hands black, I was quite pleased to see how easy it was to make the hands totally black. I did the hour hand and then the minute hand. I didn't color the seconds hand, as I don't need to know what exact second it is. Did it work? Yes, it did. For the most part, that is. The clock is quite reflective, so that is a bit of an issue when looking at it at various angles. But it is considerably more readable and there was apparently no damage to anything. I wish I could have given this clock a higher rating, but the lousy color of the hands makes it a 3 at the highest. On a positive note, it is made entirely of metal and is totally silent. But now I guess I know why the silver version is discounted and the black and copper are not.

This clock really made the wall pop!
We needed a clock to replace one in our guest bath that fit the abstract theme we had going on. The first photo is the clock during the day with our skylight shining brightly, the second is at night with just a bright-white bath light, which, I think, makes the clock look rather champagne. The clock is quiet (silent) and accurate (so far), which I never thought about until we didn't have our old clock ticking anymore. The manufacturer name on the face of the clock is so small I don't even notice it (one other reviewer commented about it). We've had multiple (positive) guest comments about the look and quietness of the clock. One other thing, the second hand should be a different color as it's hardly noticeable, but, when you're in a bathroom, who's counting the seconds anyway LOL.

Stylish clock with silent continuously moving second hand
The media could not be loaded. This is an unusual style clock, the video was made showing the use of a hand whisk, where I used this clock to show the time taken on this sped up video, the clock needs a review, so this should fit the bill. The clock keeps good time being quartz time base (standard there days) the AA battery is lasting well, we are pleased with it!

Stylish but loud
A stylish and attractive clock. The steel feels and looks good, yet is still lightweight enough to hang without any problems. The back of the clock is flat, so it has no problems sitting flush against the wall, and the width of the clock is about 12 inches in total. The second hand is the same metallic silver as the clock body itself, so it can be a bit hard to spot sometimes. This is also a relatively loud clock -- the ticking is audible, so it isn't ideal for anyone looking for a silent clock. The Umbra logo at the bottom of the clock's face is also relatively prominent, and takes away from the design's simplicity -- I could have done without that. As a note, the product description says it requires a D battery, which would be pretty counter intuitive for a clock. Thankfully, it isn't the case -- just one AA battery needed (not included).
