Good over-the-door (26-30" door) pull-up bar

I installed it above a 30" bedroom door and the king studs center-to-center were 36" (the maximum this bar will accept). Installation tip: Use a hammer and nail and be sure to know exactly where the edge and center is of your door frame "King-Stud", find the center to drill 1/4" to 5/16" diameter hole for the lag bolts. Don't just trust your handy-dandy stud finder for this.

Great for the money. Could use better knurling

This is a great bar for the money. I have had a bunch of people compliment how nice it is which I was not expecting at all from a simple pullup bar. The only negative mark I'll give it is the knurling. It's very shallow to begin with and the paint pretty much negates its existence. Especially if your hands have any moisture on them. I sanded the paint down a little for better grip and it works great now.

I'm a little frustrated...

I'm a little frustrated with this product. I recieved it quickly, removed it from the package, confirmed that the hardware and instructions were all there and that the paint wasn't scratched. I then proceeded to let it sit in a corner for 2 months. I didn't install it and it certainly has not installed itself.

Bought for our garage at work

Just got this installed today in our garage at work. We connected it to piece of redwood and drilled it in to the wall to get it centered correctly. Which I think is much better to give it a little space off the door frame. For my liking at least. Got a bunch of bodies to jump on it and do some pull ups. One mechanic was 250 lbs and was able to do a couple, so it seems to hold up just fine. Everybody in the garage is about to get some good sets in each day at work. ????????????

Solid pull-up bar

Easy to install. Came with all the proper screws and anchors. I just used the screws to attach it to my wooden support beam in my basement. You will need a ratchet wrench and power drill if you’re going to attach it to your support beam. Sturdy and does not move at all. Supports my weight easily. I’m going to attach a pulley system to it so I can also do lat pull downs.

Almost Perfect

Lets say it is 4 1/2 stars. This is a really nice pull-up bar that works out very nicely over a doorway: The cost was reasonable, it seems very sturdy and it was easy to install. For just being one bar, I like that it lets me vary the grip depending on whether I am doing pull-ups or chin-ups. having my hands canted just a slight bit really makes them easier on the elbows. The only con I had that kept it from 5 stars is the grip surfaces are too slick. The manufacturer used a very slick gloss finish and there is not any knurling on the bar to aid with grip, particularly if I am sweating. I did remedy the problem by wrapping the bar with medical tape. I would definitely recommend this pull-up/chin-up bar.

I am use to a straight bar but this angled bar is great.

I mounted mine outside on my grandchildren's swing set. May not be intended for outdoor use but working out great for me.

Sturdy

As described, really easy to install and very sturdy. There are no moving or bolted together parts, everything is welded and feels very solid. I thought the metal would feel slippery under my grasp but it doesn't.

Not quite excellent

Its a really well made, solid bar. It comes with 4 coach screws and washers which are more than enough to screw into solid wood or with large rawl plugs a masonry wall (need a 13mm spanner / socket). Being a bent bar, it's very ergonomic keeping wrists at a more natural angle. Down side - its not painted to a high standard. There is a small amount of corrosion on the back plate and you can hear flakes of rust inside and a small amount in the bag it comes in. Disappointing for a brand new item.

Nice product, needs a drill to install

Nice bar, however, I see that the seller likes price gouging in the middle of a lockdown. I got it for $86 CAD, be aware. Quality is nice, but I would advise you to get some tape as it can be slippery sometimes. Overall, I'm satisfied.

The bar is pretty solid, but it is also quite compact. For instance I am 85kgs and the bar hardly moves at all when I pull up, even with 4 screws only provided in the installation kit. For those of you wondering if it can be installed in a brick wall... Yes it can! I used wall anchors sized 14x75mm with the provided screws and it worked well.
