So sturdy!
My kids, 2 & 5, love these ukuleles! The Easter Bunny brought them last year and they’ve really held up. Our 5YO loves hers so much. She’s always strumming along and singing new songs. Like others have noted, the toy instruments don’t sound that great, but the kids don’t care. Our toddler is very rough with toys and has unfortunately thrown these so many times. Only today did one of them crack a little (fretboard and neck cracked a bit where they meet the body, all still intact) and lose a fret (can probably be re-adhered). Definitely add the $3 protection plan.

Everyone should own a ukulele!
Daughter loves the ukulele and great instrument for toddler intro to music. Less parts than a violin. I also recommend the pan flute that has the built in angle to get notes everytime.

My son LOVES his "guitar"/ukulele
My 2 year old became very interested in guitars after watching his cousin play it. We gifted this ukulele to him for Christmas. He LOVES it. It's been 2 months since he's owned it and it's still in perfect condition. We do enforce gentle hands.

Perfect gift!
This was my toddler nephew’s favorite gift! Had to hide it before he’d open his other presents.

High quality, still going strong after 4+ years and frequent toddler use
This is a high quality child instrument and we've been enjoying it for several years. It's less expensive than one I purchased at a souvenir shop in Hawaii, but has a nicer sound. The souvenir shop one broke years ago, but we still use this one frequently. My child enjoys strumming and plucking the strings. My spouse is also able to play some nice songs on this Hape ukulele. When my child was about 2 years old, he stood on the neck of this instrument and it snapped off. We glued the neck back on and it still works, as if nothing had happened. We got the idea to buy this Hape ukulele from friends who have children slightly older than ours, and theirs is still in good condition, too, after many years of use. I went back to write this review for the ukulele, because I had purchased a Hape child guitar recently and wrote a review for the guitar. The ukulele seems to be slightly higher quality than the guitar, but I think both are very good quality child instruments. I purchased the red, orange, and yellow Hape ukulele.

Great way to introduce kids to music. Keep music fun!
This is no concert-quality ukelele, but it's actually pretty darn good. It's probably fair to say that I'm a bit of an instrument snob. I play cello, violin, electric and acoustic guitar, and piano, so I know a thing or two. But I'm really happy with this purchase. As I'd expect of any instrument with nylon strings, it takes A LOT of tuning over the first few days as the strings stretch out — especially since it came completely loose and untuned (which is the right way to ship it). But the tuners do their job nicely and after a few days the tuning starts to get pretty constant. Just get an app for your phone; they're free and do the job perfectly. The sound is pleasant: timbre is good; it's not so loud that the kids get on my nerves while playing it, unlike when they bang away on the piano; the frets are all just about where they need to be, so it's not dissonant or hard to play. It's sturdy enough that I expect it to take the inevitable beating without disintegrating. (I've even taught my dog to strum it!) Though we do make an effort to make sure they don't use it as a club. And the bright colors and somewhat whimsical graphic design make this more interesting and fun for the kids. But it's still a real instrument, so I can get a pretty good sound out of it, and play actual songs. That encourages the kids to make a real effort to produce something resembling music. Of course, I'm also careful not to be a jerk about it, and just let them strum nonsense so it stays fun. For the $21 I paid, this is very well worth the price. Very very happy with this purchase. EDIT: After a year of use and abuse, it's still going strong. One of my toddlers was banging away on the strings with a spoon, and we just lost the first string. No big deal. Will buy new strings for a few bucks.

A favourite present
This is a very good product. We purchased one for a one-year-old grandson who has made it his favourite toy. Thankfully, it is very sturdy because it gets a lot of rough treatment...perfect for his age.

Good gift item for kids
Very light but not easy to hold for my 2.5 year old. It would be nice if it came with a strap. Overall it looks pretty good.

Very good product but overpriced
Bought this reading all the reviews and brand and images. Product is very good but 2000+ price is not at all worth, for this, 700-1100 INR is ideal price for the product finishing and its brand. I later realized this product is about $29 in amazon.com, so perhaps $ to INR conversion is done for the price.

Looks good and feels solid, it's a great toy buy it doesn't stay in tune.
Looks great, feels quite solid and is boxed nicely. You can get a tune from it and I'm sure my niece is going to find it great fun, however, you get what you pay for and that means strings that slip very easily. My partner used his tuner to try and get it playing properly but the strings slipped immediately. It's a great toy but won't stay in tune for more than a few seconds.
