My Husband Loved it

My husband had an Ugly Stik he couldn't even remember for how long, it broke this year while we were fishing so I got him this one he Loves it ( he did change out the reel to his old favorite but was still cheaper than just the pole in big box stores !

Great little fishing pole

Good for tight spots , only 6 lb test line , but perfect for beginners. 2 piece rod is nice for travel or just keeping in the truck for those fishing holes while out and about during the day. Highly recommend

Love this pole but the place I bought if from not so much

The fishing pole is great once I got it. Just the right size, style and weight. Love the handle as it doesn't stick way out there like some newer fishing poles do. First pole I ordered was lost in the mail. Contacted seller and they didn't nothing. Had to get refund from Amazon. Then was stupid enough to order second pole and finally got it about a month later.

Great rod, reel leaves much to be desired.

As with all Ugly Stiks, this rod is an exceptional value. Perfect for younger kids and those of smaller stature. The reel on this combo? Not so much. It will work, but I strongly recommend swapping out for a Zebco 33 Micro. The reel is just not built for the abuse that kids can dish out.

Easy to use

Lost one like it. That one caught around 600 crappie. This is a replacement.

Reel is junk

In less than 2 months of light use the line broke twice while casting costing me 2 lures. Now the cast button is broken making the reel worthless. Very poor quality I expected more from a Shakespeare product.

The reel on this product is very flimsy

When I purchased the Shakespeare spin cast combo, I expected this product to be of good quality. Although the ugly stick is what I expected, I expected the reel to be of at least average quality. I’m very disappointed. I am sending this product back. I fear this reel in the hands of a child would not last very long.

A beautiful rod.

A great rod! If you trout fish this rod is a must. Love the fact that it breaks down into two pieces. The action is great and the reel is flawless. A great investment.

Good rod, terrible reel.

I purchased 2 on sale at the Tire. Mostly I wanted the 2 piece ugly stick for sticking it my trunk. Good thing I have great reels. Both of the reels have stopped function properly in only 3 outings with my grandkids. Those stop casts, drag was messed up and started making lots of gringin noise. Tried to pull out the line and redo it, only fixed the problem till the next time we went out. I will be swapping it out pretty soon. I have a Pflueger President that my wife uses that is top notch for a bit over 50 bucks. My Zebco Omega and Bullet are also extremely good spincasters. Buy the combo and donate the reel to the trashbin. It was still cheaper than buying an ugly stick by itself, which says the reel is pretty much worthless. Might as well throw my dads old johnson on there...ummm the reel. Those green all metal ones where built like tanks. 50+ years old and still work good. Synergy broke in 100-200 casts. very poor quality. Rod gets 4 stars(some problems with not tight enough seating, seen it cast off the tip half twice so far) reel gets a minus 2 stars. Happy fishing.

Arrived finally

Finally arrived after cancelling and reordering from Amazon US. Seems like a good rod with good reviews. My son can’t wait to catch a big one on it.

No esperaba menos de esta caña pero los lances y capturas sin problema es un excelente caña y esteticamente ni se diga quiero la hermana en spinning no decepciono en su primera salida obtuve buenas capturas
