Great sun protiection

Very impressed with the quality and fit of this hat, along with the pouch in the top inside of it. It's a nice addition for storing small, lightweight items. I purchased one size larger than the recommended head size, since previous experience (and even the label in the hat) suggests a loose initial fit is recommended for the best fit long term.

Good rip stop boonie hat.

It is comfortable, fits correctly to size. But it isn't Mil Spec. The web band is too high on the crown of the hat. It doesn't affect function, but be aware. I bought mine for fishing and warm weather outdoors stuff in Alaska, so being Mil Spec isn't really an issue. I like the hat.

A little chincier than the army navy store one

a ltitle more plasticy, if that is a word. The previous true spec one I bought at a army navy store was better. I needed another for when I am painting in the summer and this works because I don't care if it gets trashed. I've been wearing boonies since I was in the military many moons ago. great for keeping the sun off you, but expect a sweaty salt ring if it's hot and you sweat like I do. It can be washed.

Design was changed... also too big

It's the same quality as the previous ones I've had except this one has a weird draw string on the back on the exterior of the hat. It's also much larger than 7¼, requiring a lot of use of the draw string. Reminds me of a bonnet.

Not 100% cotton. I dont know the difference i guess other than the brim is more flimsy than my 100% cotton version.

Takes a beating and still works great.

I purchased this hat for hunting and camping primarily, but I got my sons one also for a 4-day river rafting trip down the grand canyon. I was a little worried that they would not hold up but was super impressed. Days of them being in and out of the water they kept their shape and kept our faces from burning up in the intense hot sun. I would highly recommend it for any outdoor activity.

Hubs uses it daily at work

Hubs wanted one since the baseball caps weren't protecting as he wanted. He remembered having these hats in the military so we ordered him one of these. He likes. These are not life altering hats if that is what you are expecting. It's just a hat ppl. lol

It is 65% polyester. I love the hat so I'm keeping it. Good quality, good fit, love it.

Great quality. I'd say very close to army standards. I got a big head and this size 7.75 fits me well. Protects the sun away for your face very well. Will probably buy another colour soon.

Great boonie. Would definitely consider purchasing another in different colour. Would have liked it if the cord was a little more substantial, but really enjoying the product.
