Exactly what I needed

I was ecstatic to find these available at such a good price. I wanted slotted screws for a period look, but most brass hardware out there is phillips. I see reviews that these are not strong or hard, etc. They appear to be annealed to half hard yellow brass, C260 or C270. They are not overly strong or hard, but definitely robust enough for cabinetry or finish work (if you drill pilot holes before trying to install them.) I used them to repair a Victorian era cabinet that had bent screws. i'm sure that these will patina to give a great look.

Quality control not very good

I bought 6 boxes of 20ea. or a total of 120 screws, but 2 of the 120 were defective. The screw on the right is the correct screw. Please review the photo. 4 boxes were ok but two boxes one bad screw per box. These are quite expensive so to lose 5% of these boxes is unacceptable, if the seller fixes the issue I’ll gladly fix my review. I couldn’t find a way to contact the seller directly…

I can bend these in my bare hands

I didn't expect these to be so soft - I can actually bend them in my fingers - unaided by a tool. They break off under any significant pressure when trying to screw them in hardwood, even with a pilot hole.

The price doubled one week after purchased. Not sure why.
