not sure about reel

I should have looked closer at what I was buying. Not sure I like the reel on the back of the show that adjusts the shoe string/cable/wire? Hard for me to adjust and not sure what to do if the line breaks. As far as quality goes they are Propet and first rate. Also seller was great with timely shipping. If you can live with turning a knob on the back of your shoe to tighten and loosen them then you will love these. They fit and feel great so I'm going to keep them and see how things work out.

Not what I am accustom to from Propet

I own several pairs of Propet shoes. Typically they help with being on my feet and supporting my back. I bought these specifically for working in my woodshop, and I have been a little disappointed by some of the features. The lace tightening system is flimsy, and actually one of the shoes already broke (within the first month of wearing occassionally, not daily). Also, it feels like there is a hump in the sole of the left shoe (which I don't feel in any other shoe so I have deduced it is this particular shoe).

Less convenient than simply tying shoelaces

The shoe is comfortable feeling. Appears to be well made. The tying system takes longer to adjust tight enough than it would take to tie shoelaces. The system does not hold my heel tight enough to the back of the shoe. So I will not be wearing them for more than short walks or short time out in public. The only reason I am not sending them back is that they were on sale for only $20.00

Propet not made like they used to be

Really didn't pay attention to the description, saw Propet walker in my size and bought. Kinda' like the reel fit system. I've never been one for socks and the first time wearing opened a huge blister on little toe of one foot. Seems like the interior seem cut funny causing the rub point. Left shoe was fine. I'll see if I can trim or add some moleskin. I've worn Propet for my everyday work shoe and support is great.

Great fit for my weird feet

These shoes fit better than any others for me, and I've tried several other manufacturers. I have very wide feet with a high instep and gout damage besides - they're great for my ugly feet. Not too fond of the reel system; I've managed to pop a knob off while getting out of a barber chair already, but I can use it if I'm careful not to pop it off again and be gentle, I suppose if and when it does fail for good, I can find a way to lace them. Also, I believe the price just increased considerably - glad I bought 2 pair when they were less expensive. Recommended.

Wires

I disliked this product because my friend couldnt, even put these shoes on because someone apparently tightened the wires. I absolutely will never buy these again.

"Reel" means you don't have to tie these shoes

Imagine my surprise when I saw this pair of shoes doesn't come with laces, but has a wire and a reel. Took a few minutes to figure out loosening because there are no instructions. In all, comfortable and worth the money.

Very cheaply made for the money

Very disappointed. For the money spent I expected reasonable quality. They are heavy and they feel like they are made from melted down old Legos. Second star only because they look like the picture.
