Might run small BUT...know your own needs.
Bottom line: sizing for dance shoes is very subjective & you should be aware of how YOU like your dance shoes to fit before trusting other reviews. I usually wear a 7.5 in street shoes, occasionally a 7 and usually a 7 fits but I like the 7.5 better. Ibought these shoes for irish dance & I ordered an 8 and they fit great. I have wide toe box, and a high arch, and this fits both nicely. I prefer a snug fit for my dance shoes (my irish dance shoes are 3.5 soft/ghillie & 4.5 hard/jig) and I think I could have gotten away with the 7.5 in these as well. If you want these to fit like your street shoes (room/not tight in the toe box)--go at least half size up but no more than a full size. If you like your dance shoes snug, you can order these true to size or at most a half size up. I notice a lot of these reviews seem to be from people with very wide feet/ankles, this is not the case for me. On my first use I find I like the balance of being able to turn & not sliding too much--seems others do not have this experience, I think it depends on what you want them for. If you want super grippy shoes, these are not it. The synthetic sole is somewhat firm & I think they need to be softer for grip. I can move easily without fear of falling. Cannot speak to durability yet.

Size up
Rarely do I have to size up in any shoe but after reading many reviews, I decided to order a half size up. Thank goodness I did. I wear a regular sock with these. I can almost see ordering a whole size up except it’s not so much the length that’s the issue. It’s the tightness from the padding. The only reason I’m keeping the half size larger is because the laces are adjustable. Otherwise I’d return them for a whole size up. I’ve “tested” them out around the house but not danced a whole day/night in them yet. They seem to be good shoes otherwise. The whole point of this review is to advise buyers to order a half or whole size up and then adjust laces as necessary. I agree with the other reviewers who say the sizing is misleading. The shoe manufacturer recommends sizing up but it would be easier if they just made them actually be true to size.

Great for on the go.
I love that these are made of canvas, as they are easy to put in my to go bag. I do wish capezio made cuter shoes, though. I like the look of a hightop sneaker, but like what a split sole does for my foot, so its hard. I tried using fuego shoes, but I felt like the support went away quickly. I also look for latex free shoes. I know capezio's look caters to the traditional or ballroom dancer, but a variety of looks would be awesome too.

Just what I needed
I was looking for a practice shoe for ballroom dancing. when I read some of the negative reviews, particularly about the size running small, I was a little apprehensive but ended up ordering my regular size 9. It fits perfectly and is a very comfortable show. It is a shoe designed for dance practice and is best used for that.

True Comfort
These shoes are very comfortable. I just wish they came in a wide width. I suffer from lymphedema so I had to order 2 sizes too big.

excellent product
Purchase made to replace long-worn "jazz shoe", same style (actually same style number still available from manufacturer) ... when you have made a superior product, stay with it!

Buy your street shoe size! (Ladies)
I purchased my street shoe size (I wear a ladies 7 in street shoes). Fit was perfect! They are a bit stiff at first, and need a bit of 'breaking in'. I have a wider foot with a high arch, so I really appreciated the tie up laces, so I could adjust to my higher instep. Great practice shoe. Nice support.

These're not sneakers.
These're not sneakers, classic one I want to say. It's dance shoes with thicker and slippery soles; to turn, the sole must not bite the ground ... I chose Capezio for this model with a lower sole for better control, just enough padding and they're completely in fabrics (apart the soles of course;)). The fabric and not too much padding, that make them cooler than models with Nappa PU leather = plastic. For the fit: I'm female, I've a high foot and medium / wide foot; therefore, wide. The size of my street shoes are generally 8 or 8.5 depending on the model. I chose the 8,5; comfy fit. Perfect... I know for the most part it's obvious, but if you're not careful when you read, sizes are for women so 2 size up, it is for men ... I had to return my first order, for lack of attention, and depending on where you live it can be very complicated to return them.

Narrow feet finally gets a fit with a sturdy point(e)
Perfect size. My feet are narrow and I longed for a dance sneaker that held well for street performances, Easy to clean and let’s my point love it’s best life! Also very sturdy to go on point. Turns well on all surfaces and remains looking fine once you maintain cleaning it if used outdoors.
